I don't understand. You can still swap role actions once you're in the instance and not in combat, right?

I thought this just meant that before you enter the instance, while it is confirming your tanks/healers/DPS, you can't be switching role actions. Once in dungeon, you can switch as normal.

No, You could switch them while the "waiting for everyone to accept the queue" screen was up before. Now you can't. Inside the instance, nothing's changed with role actions according to this, so Protect swap should be fine.

True, but why only add it now it's been that way for a long time and that is massive increase in stones.

Why add Raid roulette now when it's been needed for a while? Sometimes stuff just doesn't make it to the top of the development to do list.

(This also gives max level people a reason to do it, which wasn't really there before. While MSQ gave good XP, the rewards at cap were weak after the cutscene change, to put it kindly. This will still be less mendacity for time than expert, but is a great suppliment if you want to get it done in fewer days or change it up.)

While it's true the forums did overreact in their usual way (plenty of people were saying it was going to absolutely kill MSQ), SE did also acknowledge that they weren't quite happy with the results on the MSQ roulette and would be adjusting.

Personally, I think I may actually hop back into the MSQ now and then. I'm always down for mindless mendacity tomes.

Sure. There's no doubt it has less people in it now, but it didn't die at all. It's a nice little boost for 70s to do it, since before it was only really worth it for levelling XP.
