I miss having to farm seals for relic/anima. I know it was terrible but atleast gave me a reson to log in and do something (daily roulettes) every single day.

Now I barely log in one or two time per week just to do my weekly stuff.

I was looking over the Why are you still playing this game? thread and then began to wonder the opposite.

So for those with an active account but not playing ffxiv at the moment I ask: Why are you not playing this game?

I am currently at work reading forums, so I cannot play this game right now.

A bit of a weird question. If you're not playing this game then you're also not having a sub and without a sub you can't post on the forums.

Better to ask this on Reddit since there's more people on that forum + people who're currently not playing will be able to actually answer you.

I'm currently still 'playing' well I only do my expert daily and then immediately log off again.
A bit part of why I'm still subbed is because I don't want to loose my house, altough I probably do a permanent unsubscribe if it turns out that I really enjoy Bless. Well until the next expansion at least. HW was good SB was just a big hype but an utter disappointment (to me at least).

the carrot on the stick is just gotten too tiny.

next week we will get 370 gear upgrades from the 24 man raid. almost no work to cap tomes, almost no work to upgrade the stuff. no fun involved, no satisfaction.
then we will get the new deep dungeon in 4.35 - wich looks kinda good, i liked palace of dead. but there we will get a weapon.
and THEN, when we already have 370 gear and i guess a matching weapon - THEN we will get the new eureka map in 4.36 with a weapon upgrade and gear, locked behind boring content and grind. and for what? to throw it in the corner just a few weeks later when 4.4 rolls around.

there is other content. but why should i do more than expert roulette to cap tomes and run 24 man raid once a week for the token? all the work i put in the other content is nearly useless and the rewards are taken away right after i achieved them.

sure, you can play content just for the sake of that content and the fun in it. but after almost 5 years of the same stuff in different coats it's not that much fun anymore.
maybe i will run the new deep dungeon for a while. but all in all... nah...

My sub runs out in a few days, and despite the new patch coming, I don't think I'll be resubbing for a while. I was only really getting on to grind for anima weapon materials, and that's a drag. Most of my FC and other friends have stopped playing altogether, so there's not much to do. I'll return, but it'll definitely be a much needed hiatus.

Work took all my time and energy since April so I have only been logging in once or twice a week, check retainers, logout and sleep. Now that the crazy schedule is over, I just feel lazy to continue where I left off in-game...
