Page down in inventory with gamepad

Left and right on gamepad is not page up/down. It cycles to the next item "type." To cycle page up/down, hold the button you use to open inventory (triangle for me) then press up/down on gamepad.

Vexerus is correct, it is completely based on type if you don't use the extra button hold:
- Weapons/Tools
- Ammo/Bait
- Gear
- Materia
- Other (materials, parts)

I actualy find that mechanism very useful to skipping to what I need then paging down from there.
