I disagree with the removal of the physical level system, it is one of the few things that makes this MMO completely unique. I would however like to see some changes made to the current system.
    *Removal of the reassignment button.
*Removal or lowering the amount of physical exp gained from way of hand & land classes.
*Add stat requirements to some gear.
*Add quests in order to advance physical levels at certain points i.e. a quest to advance at 10, 20, 30 etc.

This would allow players to be more "unique" and would add more diversity for future updates and content. As part of the advancement quests mentioned above all the allocated phys lvl points would be reset upon the completion of said quests.

This is the min/maxing people are usually referring to -- it's also what becomes the "standard" and anything straying from it is generally looked down upon.

Understanding and not understanding is all based around understanding what was misunderstood.

I misunderstood what he had a problem understanding, thus I was not able to help him understand.

Providing links on the other hand would let him find all the answers he had or will have on the topic. Preventing Him or I from misunderstanding what is understood or not.

I personally love the way the reassignment button works right now, because you can fix exactly what mistakes you made. But not so much that people will not have to pay for not making up their minds initially.

And yes, same stat requirements should be needed. There is no way someone with 15 str can wear chain mail with the best of them. It's impossible, and I refuse to think otherwise. And there is no way you wouldn't shoot yourself if you weren't 'dexterous' enough.

Now that is interesting.I wouldn't mind something like that.In fact i would welcome it.But i know the wear level 50 gear at lv 1 crowd would refuse strongly.

hard to say to be honest.
it depends on the difficulty of the recipe too i believe. I find it hard to make simple cotton yarn as a weaver since I have only 16 dex to work off, and that is because it is a slightly higher rank than my weaver rank. Same thing with goldsmith. I failed a good amount of silver nugget recipes in the past, even tho I have Smelting Training and using Guild Facility, all because my dex is too low. I never had that problem with making Steel Nuggets on my Blacksmith, because I had over 110 Str, Smelting training, and Guild Facilities.

I see. Guess is only a problem with combat classes then.

Screw that crowd IMO. That should have never happened. It served to ruin the sales of lower rank equipment because you can always just wear the highest and get away with it.

Even better answer, so next question, is that considered good or bad in XIV? cause I think I fall into that category. >.>

On-Topic: I'm indifferent about the subject, if they do away with it I'll probly play more classes, if not i'm DoM for life. I'm happy either way.

Lol, sales of lower level equipment have stagnated because there aren't enough people in need of the gear, not because you can equip a higher level item. You can equip it, it doesn't work as well and degrades faster, if you're so hell bent on them only wearing level appropriate stuff make it completely useless unless you're ~10 levels under it.

Is not good nor bad.Is a playing style.Only hated by people who dont like to maximize their role on some situations.Or simply those who dont care to do their best performance at all.But of course there are limits to this, some might take it to the extreme and just call anyone who dont follow their rules worthless, this is bad .But the same could be said to those who dont know how to play at all long past their noobs days and dont respect others in party simply leaching their way .Is a matter of moderation really.

Like some1 so brilliantly said before, if you dont like how they play , then dont play with them , is pretty simple.
