Dragoon Burn merit party. Lots of fun.

Setup was:

DRG, DRG, DRG, DRG, DRG, BRD (For pulling since DRG can't pull)

subjobs were: either WHM, BLU, or RDM, since these were the popular subjobs for DRG/MAge healing.




Did I point out that EVERYONE int he party can and should be hybrid? No. Ideal setup is, one tank, few DD, and a healer and support. In most of the time. Quite a few jobs can do beyond what they were designed.

for example

PLD DD DD DD WHM RDM

or MNK DD DD DD RDM DNC

or NIN DD DD DD DRG RDM

will still follow the tank, few dd, healer, and support rules, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

You arent, the current system does.
Stat cap force you to play as hybrid.
Anyways im not gonna keep arguing about thins like FFXI(is changed to much since i quite) and what hybrids are.

My whole point was in ffxiv , the stat system is ment to by used to put points balanced in all stats to make a "balanced character".I dont want a balanced character.I want a character with its role defined.I am forced to do so because the current limitation.

Im not even gonna bother to answer your questions about what i did and what not in ffxi.I had monk at 75 and it was what i used to do salvage as.But i never considered mnk an hybrid, i guess my definition of hybrid is not the same .Anyways , carry on.

that's exactly what i keep saying. if someone don't want to level anything besides gla for example they will still be needed for parties. if a gla has this or that on top of it all the better that they can take the slack from another with that extra, but it is not required to do so. just because my pug has an extra ability to help the overall group does not mean another pug without it would be any less needed.
