So why would changing the level make it anymore exciting? Least at level 50 you can get rewards that are worth it.
Yes they have multiple groups working on the game. But not all of them right now are content base. Most are likely on job's/balancing.

Low level content we have now.

    Class quest
    Crafting
    Gathering
    Ifrit 25
    Toto-rak
    NMs
    Getting Crystals
    Guildleves

And no one does them unless they have to. Why People at cap would have much more fun doing low content then high content is Beyond me. What is the point in leveling getting the high level skills if you can't use them because you are in a level cap?

I've already said it is needed after the revamp and when SE releases 2.0 to bring in new subs.
Right now though we are losing more then we are gaining. Many I know left because there is nothing to do at 50. Not because there isn't anything to do at 30. Most of those left have classes capped. So right now and until 2.0 to me (and SE clearly) it seems logical to focus more on 50 content then 30.

I never said (nor meant) that lowering the level would make anything more exciting. I simply can't understand why something of a lower level can't be interesting or fun enough in it's own right to be worth playing at any level, rather than as a means to an end. Loot, leveling; very few people play anything for the sheer fun of just doing it, it's always to get something at the end.

I think that if the devs can create different things, things that don't even have to have anything to do with levels (thus can be low-mid level content if people want to play it at low-mid levels, or high level content if they're maxed, which is really the main thing I was trying to get at before, though it seems I didn't succeed) but are just fun for people who enjoy things other than level 50 boss fights and grinding, then I think they'd be satisfying current customers and bringing in others who weren't interested enough in current content to pay previously.

I just don't understand how a level range = fun and why a certain level range should be more fun than any other, even if you're of a higher level range. If we have to use our minds (be intelligent or creative, without following a script of where to stand and what to do), then that brings in an element completely unrelated to in game levels and should be enjoyable to people with or without a level 50 DoW/DoM.
