Well I guess its a bad idea... NEVERMIND!
I wouldn't mind supporting SE by participating in microtransactions. I do have funds for these types of things and wouldn't mind getting extra goodies this way.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the tiny-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will allow it to pass through me and over me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Yes, it's called mogstation optional items.
Keep that lootbox nonsense out of this game,

The mogstation gives you plenty of microtransaction choices, and they add new items all the time. Lootboxes are not a popular idea, and personally, I don't want to see them in a game that I already pay monthly for. The app is taking the whole microtransaction thing far enough as is.

Op , do get back under the bridge you troll .

I won't lie but I do enjoy loot boxes from time to time. However FFXIV isn't really a loot box kinda game. The games where loot boxes do work have gear upgrade systems that go beyond just loot x drop or spend y amount of tokens and your done. Items needed to upgrade gear are the common RNG drops from loot boxes. So even if you don't win the big prizes, glamor, pets or what not you are guaranteed to get at least something that can be used to further yourself and give incentive to use them. What does FFXIV have that can give that same incentive? Also what for the players that ain't interested in glamor, pets or mount collecting? What would be in it for them? Loot boxes are meant to reach a wide variety of players, or else fewer would use them.
Like...using Palace of The Dead Cursed Hoard boxes as an example. Would you want to spend say $20 for a pack of boxes if all you knew you would be promised of winning were fireworks and confetti pouhes? I know I sure wouldn't.
or...
If I don't particularly care for the mount or glamor chance in the box, could I have a shot at say a class specific chest containing top tier raid gear?
