I get what the OP is saying. I think it would be kinda cool if everyone had a separate bar that essentially activated a Trance mode when you fill it out that gives the player perhaps some buff,l.

You mean like Life of the Dragon, Huton, Greased Lightning, Overheated, Enochian, Dread Wyrm Stance, Darkside, Deliverance?
