Every summoner cried tears of sadness
Why can't summoners do this normally?
This really hurts
I hope they're doing this to eventually give summoners these finishers in 5.0

Its been explained many times why summoners don't summon the actual primals.

We know, but if carrying around magicite is no different from carrying around 99 x potions why can't summoner just run around with magicites as well?

The biggest problem, it seems to me, would be how to balance this in regular content. In this content they get around this problem by letting anyone in the party do it when specific conditions are met, and it's basically a cool effect that lets you skip a floor by instant-killing all the enemies. But in a dungeon (etc.) you obviously can't do that, and you certainly couldn't restrict it to SMN or they'd be totally OP. Maybe you could do some large burst damage effect like a summon, but it'd have to come with a suitable cost -- like the caster can't move or be interrupted at all for 30 seconds or something (and no swiftcast/surecast). And even then, it couldn't do so much more damage than any other DPS class could do during that same time. So it'd basically be a giant burst damage timing game.
Probably the easier way to implement this, if they wanted to, would just be to have it be the LB3 if you use it as a summoner, and it'd do about the same damage as other DPS LB3s. Or, as they're doing here, use it in specific content and allow everyone to do it if the proper conditions are met.
Obviously, you can handle this totally differently in single-player Final Fantasy games because you don't really care about class balance like an MMO has to do.

There's probably a lore reason why we can use magicite in there but not outside of there. The best thing they can do about SMN is adding more transformations like demi bahamut for future expansions.

I’m crying -.- they can work around this by just giving us demi-everything as egi skins and voila...they need to change this asap, almost tired after waiting all these years -.-

I'd be up for scrapping Trance and replacing it with Aetherpact.
Hit pact (instead of trance) and your egi grows larger and more powerful, hit Enkindle II (instead of Deathflare) and pact ends with your egi doing a big impressive attack like the magicite primals do.
Plus it feels like a more "Summoner"-y gameplay loop:
Small egi summon
Increase egi's power and size
Big summon attack
Back to small egi summon
Charge up pet again
Big summon attack again
SUMMON BAHAMUT
ENKINDLE BAHAMUT
Start over.
Would require some retcon of the 50-60 SMN story though, so not going to happen.

Don't be silly, we're getting another variation of Bahamut, since they seem to be shoehorning summoner into "Bahamut mage" and not Summoner. 2 expansions culminated in Bahamut related abilities, they aren't going to stop now. :P
Don't know why you're still hoping for stuff like this for SMN. The fact that it's in Heaven-On-High should be telling enough that they never plan on giving Primals to SMN. And never were in the first place.

SMN will not have this power. period.
Can't you see it's too much for just lvl70~90 skills?
Maybe at lv 99.
