yea, it was odd that they intercut all the different content types among each other without any context. I mean I can recognize them, but if you didn't follow forums and know what was coming I'd think you'd be confused. There's really nothing that requires this; just segmenting them by type wouldn't change the video any except making it easier to follow.

I agree, the new trailers feel all over the place. I don't know what I'm looking at at any given time.

The old trailers would have the name of the content that's being shown on the screen at the top, and it plays through the content for about 30 seconds. They also showed smaller things, like glamour recipes, hairstyles, housing items etc.

I really hope this new style isn't here to stay

The new style is bad and confusing. Can't really tell who's talking and what exactly I'm seeing in the trailers.
Please revert to your old format for trailers.

I preferred the old style because it let me preview the things I wanted to see (like new dungeons, gear, items) while easily avoiding MSQ spoilers. Now they have the spoilers interspersed throughout the trailers.

Trailer did what it's supposed to do: make you ask questions and wonder what's happening, which then makes you want to play the game to get the answers and see how it all plays out.

I swear if we don't get to do anything to Ashai and he gets away, I will be extremely disappointed. I hate having the villains flee, or off themselves before we even get a chance to do anything.

The old trailers made me want to play the game just fine... That epic music starting up with Patch 3.3's trailer? Nidhogg's voice over? The battle on the bridge? Yeah, I knew exactly what was going on. I had no questions. I want to get there IMMEDIATELY. Most of the patch trailers had that effect.

The old trailers didn't make you want to play because you had questions, they made you want to play because they laid everything out in an epic, comprehensive way that was easy to understand and let you know EXACTLY where to go and what to do to start what you wanted to.

I agree. But I also agree that the new style does what it needs to do in terms of hype. But man were yhe old ones great...

Your point being? Nothing was said against the old trailers concerning their intended purpose to begin with.

The old trailers didn't make you want to play because you had questions, they made you want to play because they laid everything out in an epic, comprehensive way that was easy to understand and let you know EXACTLY where to go and what to do to start what you wanted to.
So basically, you like to be spoon fed the beginning, middle and ending of a story to make you play it? Well that's good for you... but not everyone feels that way, and this trailer isn't ineffective in its purpose just because they didn't decide to go the kind of route you like.

It's almost like everyone has different preferences. No need to try and make it seem like such a negative. This trailer, to me, feels like a jumbled mess which focuses mainly on the MSQ, which I couldn't give two figs about. I don't tend to follow the live letters, and if this is all I had to go on, I would be quite meh about the whole thing as nothing about it speaks to my interests in game.
