Or how about we just have Leylines and Between the Lines in the same button, for a start?
Exactly what I thought.
I'd personally also like them to reduce Ley Line CD to 60sec to it aligns with more buff. (With duration reduction to compensate obviously)
With a lower CD it would also help new BLM a tiny bit since a half used Ley Line due to poor timing would have less of a negative impact.
I mean, asking someone to not move for 30sec... 15-20sec is doable but 30sec... I know this is why we have between the lines but still.
I also think it would be more fun to have it on a shorter CD. I like using Ley Line
I also have the opinion that enochian (the actual ability/button) is largely pointless and they should just replace it with a trait at this point. Everything is tied to AF/UI now anyway, and you have to try really hard to drop either of them these days. As it currently stands Enochian is just extra fluff to clip the gcd in your opener, because reasons.
What would be nice would be to add a new effect to enochian. Even something as small as refresh AF/UI would make it a nice toolI also have the opinion that enochian (the actual ability/button) is largely pointless and they should just replace it with a trait at this point. If Enochian became a trait then I would honestly feel that BLM would become pretty brain dead. You'd just do your rotations as normal without having to worry about Eno dropping and only keeping up your Astral/Umbral status to switch between the elements, that's it, and then potentially getting a free Foul for doing nothing after 30secs. Eno like several other temporary buffs (like Dreadwyrm Trance, Hotshot, Straight Arrow etc) can effect your damage too much to be giving a free pass as a trait.
If you use Between the Lines, why would you need to rewrite your Leylines?

And you can't BTL into a Leylines that got randomly targeted / party member dragged a death zone onto.
I wouldn't be opposed to updating flare to ancient flare and buffing the potency for next expansion.
Fire 2 might become a bit obsolete by then to do maybe another skill to replace it in the aoe rotation?
I'd also like another quickcast skill like scathe. Scathe is great under 50 areas. Just something to use in the 60-70 that does quick damage without a cast. Even scathe with a new name and buffed lol
Why not just make it a part of the mechincs of the job? Like every time you switch between fire or ice and have three orbs, it renews the effect. If you lose the effect you have to get up to three orbs of fire or ice and then switch to restart it.
That's literally what you do right now. Enochian is dependent on you keeping up AF/UI. If those drop, enochian drops. You can't have one without the other, as such it makes the single button press in an encounter largely pointless and it should just become a trait.
