I’d be interested to know what exactly the op is experiencing. If he/she is being harassed by a specific player or group of players on his/her server who happen to use this mod as one of their tools of harassment, then the op has every right to feel uncomfortable, but it isn’t something that can be addressed by the modding community or by SE taking action against them. If, on the other hand, the op is just being overly modest to the point of feeling uncomfortable running through kugane after finding out about the mod’s existence, then I think that the argument that your character isn’t you should be taken into consideration because at that point you (in the general sense) are just worrying yourself over pixels that have been manipulated to look a bit different, and that your character is somehow special enough to cause players using the mod to take more notice of it than their own. In that case, it’s just better to ignore those mods and continue playing the game the way you want to play.

To the op: if it’s just friends posting group shots that you happen to be in, then it’s not really that big of a deal. Chances are, they can’t just disable it on the fly because you feel uncomfortable but they still want to take group pics, so keep that in mind because frankly, you can’t control what they do with their game. If you still can’t get past it, then nicely ask them not to include you in those types of pics. If they don’t comply after being talked to politely, or if they’re giving you so much trouble over it that your enjoyment of the game is being affected, then it’s unfortunately time to find new friends.
