I like how the OP just changed their character to a level 1 level gladiator on Mateus when they were a Au RA on Gilgamesh at a much higher level. I think OP is trying to hide lul.

"Ul'dah can keep their dusty markets, and their streets paved in silver and gold.
Limsa Lominsa keep your pirates, and your ships covered in musty mold.
My loyalty lies with Gridania, with the Moogles and the tree spirits of old." -The Forky Conjurer
Considering that OP is being harassed after this thread came out, well, yeah, it's understandable. Do explain how this is a 'lul' moment? I don't agree wholeheartedly with the OP, but I fail to see how somebody being harassed is worthy of laughter or implied ridicule. I know you certainly wouldn't enjoy it if players started harassing you every time you logged in.

I don't want to sound rude but making a topic on this subject and the way OP worded their post I'm not really surprised it happened? People need to realise they are on the internet, the Internet isn't some form of safe space where nothing can happen. When you put a message out on a PUBLIC forum where anyone can see it, there is a chance people will find it silly and start harassing them for it. If you have been on the internet long enough and played MMOs you would know mods like this have always been a thing. Same way they are a thing in single player games... (just go look at skyrim mods).
It is unfortunate they are getting harassed for this post, but personally I think they somewhat had it coming knowing how people can be with this subject. People need to think about what they say before actually posting it, the same way you need to think about what you say in real life before saying it. If they are being harassed in-game they can just blacklist and report them and move on. Just make sure to include what they have done (evidence).
Also do you know why I haven't been harassed? The reason is because I think about what I do before doing it. If you know there is a chance someone could harass you for what you did (like a this post for example) then don't freaking do it. There are multiple things I could talk about but they could lead to harassment potentially so I keep them to myself it's not hard. I just hope they have learned their lesson on this and maybe try to think more about what they say on the internet which anyone using it can read this. Also if someone was harassing me when I logged in do you know what I would do? Report and ignore them... I AFK most of the time anyway so things like that don't really faze me because I know it's just a game and if people want to waste time with that...then that's their own business, I will continue watching twitch streams on my other monitor while you do your silliness.
You would most likely disagree with what I said but hey that's life not everyone agrees with every single thing you say.

Again, while I don't agree with the OP about what they posted, I don't believe that they are deserving of the harassment simply because of their post. Nor do I necessarily agree with the notion that they should've expected it. I've posted some wild things on the forums before - that doesn't mean I expect to get harassed in-game, and for the most part, I have not. Just because it's the Internet doesn't give people the right to act like complete jerks just because they can do it. And anybody who goes about this and says 'well, the OP deserved it for making the post in the first place' or 'it's the Internet, what did they expect' is almost as bad as those doing the harassing in the first place.
Again, I don't agree with the OP. But in-game harassment should never be acceptable, nor should people just go 'it should've been expected'. Just because you do things a certain way doesn't mean that everybody else will react in the same manner.
