Evidently, you aren't browsing reddit since the r/ffxiv subreddit requires you to label NSFW posts and allows you to hide/disable searching for them.

If SE decides to listen to these whiners and actually takes action against players using mods, despite it being in every other MMO, I will without second thoughts quit the game. Not because I won’t be able to use mods anymore, that is part of it but I did play this game for 3 years without them, but because it would be both hilarious and sad if they would side with this minority of people who are trying to be loud and bring attention to this. Logic “I don’t like this so you can’t like/have it either” seriously buffles my mind.

Bluntly stated, they cannot do anything but ask us nicely not to mod. Since everything is client side, they have no way of detecting edits to textures. Hence why ACT and even bots continue without much done about either. Even if they were to implement a zero tolerance policy come the LL, modders just keep quiet and go about as they please.
