if ur a cat or lizard girl wearing thavnairian tights (which op was before they fantasia to lalafell) u may not be an erper but ur dressed like one, and I’m gonna go ahead and say that everything thavnairian in this game is probably a day one lewd mod because of that
thavnairian outfit is literally ERP AF1 in this game what did u expect
Unfortunately, there's very little SE can do here. There's no server-side validation for texture files, after all.
It's just one of those things you'll have to get used to. Frankly, I'm a little surprised you're being exposed to it at all; generally speaking, NSFW texture mods are quite insulated. You know about them and see them if you use them, and they're very much out of sight, out of mind if you don't. Is there a reason that you're striving to inform yourself?
A couple of things here. Why wouldn't I look into it? If I hate it so much I should investigate it so I know what I am talking about before I make uneducated posts on the forums.
Secondly, to all those saying it's not harassment and it's just pixels. Why would it be any different if someone posted an irl nude of me on their tumblr? Because it's digital it's suddenly acceptable and I should just get over it? Some of us do like to treat our characters as extensions of ourselves.
First, unless efforts are being made to intimidate / target you, it's not harassment. Someone taking a photo of you naked in your backyard wouldn't be, either - even if they threw it up on the net. It'd be a blatant invasion of privacy, but not harassment. The latter would start if people began stalking you, asking you for photo shoots when you didn't want them to, etc. So let's not confuse the two words.
Secondly, privacy is notoriously difficult to protect, so I'd generally suggest the 'ignorance is bliss' approach. I mean, look at the iCloud hack that released NSFW, private images of celebrities onto the internet. Even though these individuals are far more capable of protecting themselves than you or I likely are, guess what? The images are still up. And they will be forever. Someone will be able to likely find nude pictures of these individuals a century from now, after they're dead, if they were so inclined. It's an unfortunate reality of the digital age, but it very much is a reality.
So, you can choose to fight against it, and inform yourself, and worry about it, but in the end, you'll really only stress yourself out and make yourself anxious and paranoid. If you have virtually no control over something, why fight it?
If SE decides to listen to these whiners and actually takes action against players using mods, despite it being in every other MMO, I will without second thoughts quit the game. Not because I won’t be able to use mods anymore, that is part of it but I did play this game for 3 years without them, but because it would be both hilarious and sad if they would side with this minority of people who are trying to be loud and bring attention to this. Logic “I don’t like this so you can’t like/have it either” seriously buffles my mind.
I am much the same way. I just ignore people that are twats and go about my business. I’m aware people mod, and if they see my character naked with...questionable mods...well it doesn’t really matter to me. I see her as I see her, and that’s that.I don’t entirely agree with the OP myself, since honestly, it’s no skin off my back if someone decides to use a mod and see my character naked…it honestly has no affect on me. The only way I would actually bring it up, to GMs(since honestly, 99.999999999~% of mods are for personal enjoyment of the game), is when they start harassing me over something. At that point, blacklist and wash my hands.
For me, it’s always if you have something that you are legitimately concerned about, why are you going back and deleting posts? It’s much like retracting your statements in my view.I will agree that the lack of concrete evidence(yes the one I quoted earlier can be seen as harassment, or someone who saw this thread and decided to poke fun – which again, could be seen as harassment), and the deleting of posts doesn’t provide them much credibility.
Sadly, you are right. It’s an unrelated topic, but on my last day of class, one of my classes had a debate about a lot of the school marches that are going on to right now with regards to school shootings, and about how it’s causing unnecessary fear-mongering because teenagers are far more likely to die in a car accident caused by either texting while driving or driving while under the influence than they are to die by a school shooting. Yet, the fear-mongering (causes primarily by media, I’m sure) makes it seem like it’s a common occurrence for people to just bring a gun to school willy-nilly. That topic and this one are completely unrelated, but the inherent concept of fear-mongering garnering the most results is the same.Unfortunately, the way the world works a good 80% of the time, fear mongering tends to get the most(not always best) results.
I can understand where you’re coming from, but the comment Tridus quoted was entirely uncalled for. Stereotyped or not, nothing excuses this mindset of “you’re asking for it by looking like that”. I dislike stereotypes, even though I know they exist for a reason; I just try not to use them as judgments of individuals—for example, I play almost exclusively Miqo’te, and my sole reason for choosing it over Hyur was because I love cats, and the character creator options for Miqo’te suited my main (Hyomin) more than the Hyur ones; I don’t play Miqo’te because I’m a “furry” or a “G.I.R.L.” (I actually am female in real life) or whatever other stereotypes exist out there for female Miqo.
I disagree with the OP on many grounds, but that comment was unnecessary. I won’t deny that some people need to grow thicker skins, but there are just some things that are down-right awful to say and that should never even be said in the first place. But, to be honest, the comment itself speaks volumes for the type of person the poster is rather than the OP (at least with regards to stereotypes).

if they crack on mods they should crack on act they know its there just build one in. this is not a new issue its 13 years old easly
Gotta love browsing Reddit and getting smacked in the face with pics of female Au'ra genitalia.
Even if you were not looking for them.
A player like the OP is a minority, but players modding the game are also a minority and inside that group, players using it to ERP or for professional "joystick polishing" are a minority too.If SE decides to listen to these whiners and actually takes action against players using mods, despite it being in every other MMO, I will without second thoughts quit the game. Not because I won’t be able to use mods anymore, that is part of it but I did play this game for 3 years without them, but because it would be both hilarious and sad if they would side with this minority of people who are trying to be loud and bring attention to this. My opinion? I don't care about modding in an MMO since I want people seeing my character the same way I do. Of course, because of this, I'm not happy with others players having the ability to change the way my character looks (nudity or not nudity). Anyway, since I can't do anything about it and SE has better things to do with their time (unless it ends bringing bad press to the game) the only thing I can do is move along with my life.
Oh, and while I don't mind what people do in their privacy please keep it that way, I have zero desire to be part of it and I will suggest to SE that behaviours like that meet a zero-tolerance policy: no strikes, direct ban account.
