Mod users in FFXIV are getting out of control

ACT can read FFXIV's memory and write to it. However, even the overlay plugins are separate windows entirely; if one wants to run an overlay they need to run the game in borderless windowed so the overlays can...ya know, overlay. Or so I hear from various raiders in discord.

What is it with that guy? It's like ACT ran over his dog or something. For that matter how the hell did ACT even come up in a discussion about modding?

They hold a year long grudge over ACT because it showed how inefficiently they played WHM; once insisting you must use Cure and Cure II because that was how the devs designed it. Have a good suspicion they were called out and instead of improving, blame ACT for everything.

While I don't have anything against mods personally, a lot of these outfit mods are making it so that my character can be seen completely naked on their side of the screen with nipples and all included! I feel like I am being seen nude without consent and I do not appreciate that!

My only issue when it comes with examples of "strictest interpretation" is that people like to lie and delude themselves and pretend that some things aren't what they are.

You know, if ACT is hacking, because it accesses Square's info without their consent then it should be accept that it's hacking. People shouldn't be butchering the language and lying to compensate for the fact that like ACT. I think they should just own up to it. If it's hacking--admit that it's hacking, but also admit that it's hacking on such a minute level that it's inconsequential.

But if it is hacking, and someone says it's not, and thus ignores how language works--then they're lying. And if someone is willing to lie out of bias then that just pisses me off. (I support damage meters. I just don't want folks lying on the internet).

What you just said is applicable to caffeine. You wanna piss off some people? Tell them caffeine is a drug and comparable to marijuana. See how many friends that makes you.

I used to ramble on and on to colleagues about how useful caffeine is as a temporary energy boosting drug as long as it isn't abused. Guess how many people I pissed off? Everyone that drank coffee on a daily basis.)

It's not an ego. I'm asking that people don't lie and don't make up fake news. Caffeine is a drug. And anyone who thinks it's not is just an idiot. You shouldn't coddle idiots who want to make up their own definitions for stuff. Don't encourage lying for the sake of your ego by keeping friends.

...it's fine really. I don't see any need to condemn or try to convince the quoted. There are far more people like the quoted than you and I; our empathetic mindset gives a massive advantage in every social situation; this is especially true for work place politics (aka. getting more monies.)

Besides, pointing out someone's flaw will do nothing but force them to strengthen their position. At best it assuages our egos because we're seeing something they don't and are pointing it out.
