Mod users in FFXIV are getting out of control

So if I judge your performance solely on what I see in the chat log thats okay? I highly doubt it. Also, the terms of service on these forums prohibit harassment, but you take every opportunity to break them by harassing people who use parsers, so don't you dare claim you're abiding by the rules.

Oh please. Everyone who uses ACT does not get to cry victim. Everyone who uses mods, does not get to cry victim. If you know you are breaking the rules, you lost the moral high ground. If someone reports you for harassment, you lose. You are on the official forums, it's like bragging about where you stashed the bodies to a murder and it then crying that it shouldn't count because the cops didn't know about it until now.

Nonsense. You joined a multiplayer game, with terms of service among other things prohibits third party tools, data mining, and harassment. You are not entitled to ignore the rules while others abide by them.

ACT automates an activity without user interaction, but by data present in the game client's memory or network buffer, just like a bot does. A Keyboard/Mouse macro is initiated by the user without any data from the game being used to trigger it.

People doing texture swaps aren't exactly being under the radar when they post screenshots of their characters with them in the screenshot threads. Your keyboard macro is not different from ReShade either. ReShade changes the shaders loaded on the GPU, not the game.

The rules are written so they can be enforced against people who are ruining the game experience. The people who say they're using mods or ACT on the forum are the ones mocking SE, on their own site. The way the rules are written, any macro software, regardless if it comes with the keyboard and mouse, or AH/AI which is what all the crappy spam bots are made with are considered the same, but you're not using your keyboard macro to spam "buy gil" are you? You don't go fishing and catch all the fish in the lake. Did you not see the large uptick in account bans recently? Consider that GM's seem to hand out temporary bans for swearing in the game according to people on Reddit.

The point I've been making throughout this thread is that people being careless is what causes a crackdown, and there are a LOT of people being careless on the forum right now. Don't cry victim if one day management at FFXIV decides they've had enough, I've seen it happen in other games. In the same comment that Yoshi-P said he knows about these tools, he also said to not put a spotlight on it. Que Sera, Sera.

Does he honestly think that switching from female to male will make a difference? A lot of people (including myself) love the male body. SE did a good job with male character models (especially miqote, roe and hyur midlander males). Tell him not to be surprised if someone uses a mod to mod his male character! xD

Well perhaps you and like 90% of ppl may not care which is fine. It\\'s a forum so therefore anyone can express their opinion. I\\'m not saying all modders are horrible ppl or perverts. I don\\'t feel comfortable with ppl having a tool to make anyone\\'s character(s) naked with the possibility of making an existing problem worse. It sucks that you can\\'t play a game to have fun and mind your own business without having someone try to make unwanted advances. I feel that the wrong ppl having that tool can create problems for ppl just trying to enjoy the game.

Well like you said they are pixels on a screen and that is very true. What ppl here are failing to understand is that there is a person controlling that pixel. If your end game content is to ERP and what not there are plenty of ppl out there that are into similar interests. I am just wanting something like naked pixels to not give an additional tool to ppl that already have a problem with bothering others. Tbh as a male toon he does not get hit on at all so... I have a lot of guy friends that like guys that play the game and they do not bother anyone at all so your comment on that was pretty pointless. I am not talking about ppl in general. I think ppl that can should know their boundaries or at least not share certain things like these with others. Doing whatever they want to their character does not hurt anyone at all. Ppl with a problem can seek to obtain mods just to cause problems for others.

Look I am a girl playing a female character ever since Beta so... I can't grow a thicker skin without turning into a lizard lol. I went from a Miqo'te to Hyur just because ppl can be extremely weird and disrespectful. It had nothing to do with the clothing but more of just being a cat I guess. I have no idea but I changed and it helped. I mind my own business. I enjoy the game. I don't have the time to deal with ppl that want to make unwanted advances. There are ppl that don't even play the game they just hit on ppl. Perhaps SE won't do anything but hopefully ppl that use mods can take other ppl in consideration when creating mods like nude mods that can see other characters naked not just their own. The long hair mod sounds amazing plus any other esthetic enhancement to your or any character. The nude one is just vulgar, and can cause problems with the wrong ppl who are willing to abuse the use of it.

Now this is fairly strange. You say you just do your thing, mind your own business yet what others do seem to concern you greatly in this case. People who make and use these mods are minding their own play experience. If someone wants to go the vulgar route, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Nothing you can do and unless you are looking for that specific content on Tumblr or other sites, it's nothing you'll experience either. Mods currently are on a "don't talk about it" policy just like ACT. If someone harasses you because of one, report for harassment and move on.

At least read before giving your so unwanted opinion. The report and block thing obviously doesn't help since ppl can make alts and what not. I also said that mods are not the actual problem and that it only becomes a problem depending on who ends up using it. If you want to see your pixel naked... great! More power to you. If you are doing it to molest ppl then it's wrong. I mean come on know the difference. The main reason it bothers me it's because minors play the game too so... Besides I'm not the OP I just started giving my 2 cents just like you. I Don't know why would you feel sorry for me lol I'm not the one with the pixel fixation.
