Mod users in FFXIV are getting out of control

You cannot equate a real life photo of someone's body to a screenshot of a game character's body.

One is real. The other is not.

Debate and diversity are the building blocks of a great community and are at the heart of what keeps things fresh and interesting. You are indeed correct that you have every right to express your concerns, but claiming that someone is rude and offensive because they don't agree is just wet.

I would advice to avoid Limsa Lominsa if possible. If you still need to go there, make sure not to drop your sword and/or not to bend over to pick it up.

Or change your character to Lalafell. I highly doubt there are any mods involving Lalafells... right? Right?

Well, those aren't post here in this forums, or in the game so i don't think GMs gonna punish that for harassment. I mean its like someone call me names in reddit and want the GMs to ban them.

Now they can do something for the Mods, but, well you need proof or some way for them to know.

Ya when it comes to harassment if it is outside the game they won’t do anything. Had a friend get IRL stalked by someone in the game had discord messages, line messages, even in game messages and they told her get over it. If they actually did something about “they posted a screenshot of me I don’t like” I’d be a bit upset.

and I should be allowed to express a concern. I'm sorry if you're butt hurt over my feelings. Telling me to get help because you disagree isn't very nice. You're right. The game is not real life. Neither is the internet, but cyber bullying harassment is an extreme case that happens everyday.

I thought a game was supposed to be fun and stressreleaver? Why are you getting worked up about it? When somebody harasses you they want you to get worked up about it, that's the sole reason they do that.
Instead put them on blacklist, report to a GM and carry on, smile and onwards to your next dungeon, raid, whatever you want to do in game.

There is a way to have a great debate without hostility, and your reply just reeks of hostility to express your view point therefore suggesting I should take your way or the highway regardless of what my view points are. It sounds to me like you are one of those perverted freaks tbh. OP is just giving his opinion on a weird and uncomfortable activity that is going on in game. I don't ERP or RP so why should my character be the inspiration for someone to bust on? I saw some weirdo taking his clothes off infront of my retainer lmao while on camera mode or whatever that's called. I didn't care much about that I think he is a weirdo I need to avoid, but someone doing that to your character and posting it online is not ok. It is a game and it should be fun so if someone doesn't want someone like you to jerk off to their character then their decision should be respected. I think you and those ppl need help. It wouldn't be an issue if they wouldn't share the pictures. If that's what single guys in basements are into then they should keep it to themselves. I guess that's why dudes marry my little pony plushies lol ppl are too busy trying sexualize everything.

Why wouldn't I look into it? If I hate it so much I should investigate it so I know what I am talking about before I make uneducated posts on the forums.

Here's 3 reasons for you:

First off, I remember seeing this sort of stuff in WoW, I remember seeing this sort of stuff in FFXI, I'd also feel pretty safe in wagering that many other popular and established mmo out there have had a modding scene of some sort. Not to mention, the massive scenes that have sprung up around other games such the Sims, Fallout, Skyrim etc. It's unavoidable and that's just how it is. If you can't stomach it then I hear Hello Kitty World might be on sale.

Secondly, one thing that actually amuses me here is this. Let's be honest now, FFXIV's character creation is pretty limited. The main things that make your character standout vs anyone elses is usually colour choices and your glamour. If someone's modding your glamour away then uhm, it's hardly your nude their looking at is it? It's just another generic cat/lizard girl with insert colour here eyes and hair. There's no body shapes or such at all.

Lastly, because you're quite clearly getting yourself wound up and anxious over something that literally has no bearing on your existence or well being in the slightest. Rather you are doing yourself a detriment by worrying about this so much. If someone actually harasses you in game or on their tumblr, report it. This fervour is just flat out paranoia if you're concerned that someone might post a picture of you (or your generically shaped lizard at least) on a tumblr that you'll probably never even see. Where does it end? Are you home bound because a bus might hit you on the way out?

Take a deep breath, pull your big boy/girl pants on and get over it. It's a valuable life lesson and I promise you it'll do you the world of good.
