Mod users in FFXIV are getting out of control

I am on PC. It's annoying because when you cosplay glam, you're trying to get as close as possible with what's available in game. Modding is just cheating.

Okay, fair enough, trying to create a cosplay based on limited resources is a fun challenge sometimes. Some would just like to cut through that and get their cosplay, though.

So how would the OP feel if someone made a duplicate character of them on another server, used the same face, build and even name and then proceeded to make "risque" screenshots in compromising positions with other characters? All of this is possible using completely within TOS mechanics and software.

If someone want's to skeez out about you , it'll happen.

In the unfortunate case it's not, are you touched in the head? How anyone could associate a video game character with their own body in real life, to the degree of pointing disgruntled fingers at the modding community as a whole, is completely asinine.

If you want to mod play offline games. When played Aion years ago ask all those hackers and modders what happened to them one day lost 200+ in guild was in because they all got caught hacking and using mods. If it's against the users agreement then its not allowed plain and simple. Maybe all these lag spikes and disconnects that ones is getting now from all these mods ones is doing. I know when ever I get close to a bot I get vey bad lag spikes.

You are conflating two entirely different arguments. Feeling odd about someone using a nudity mod is hardly the same likening yourself to the character. Only the latter is where the "it's only pixels" argument came into play because, in that context, it is. You have not been violated, which is what the OP insinuated. That is what prompted this whole discussion.

I think the only reason you'd lag out near bots is because of the fact that the gil farming bots tend to move in groups of a few to several dozen at a time, which places strain on both one's connection and their GPU from having to load in several PCs all of a sudden.

For the naked mod to work you need to be in your undies btw, aka no gear at all. So get dressed.

While I can surely understand people don't like "shady" being done things behind their back - let's also be honest.
Literally everyone playing that game knows this nudity thing is fake. I mean, that's like if someone takes a picture of me and adds a speechbubble over my head, adding nasty text. Do you really think anyone would think I did actually say this?

If I'd see a picture of a nude player, I know that it's just altered, and altered things have 0% credibility to me until I've been told it's true by the right person.
First I thought they can also somehow alter it on my client (I had not much sleep this night...) and I was like "Eww, naked fat Roes all over the place".
