Mod users in FFXIV are getting out of control

The texture mods are only visible to those who apply them and they are not server wide. It's a local client only texture modification nobody else can see except the person who applied them. So how in the 7 hells are you offended by this I really don't know.
I don't see you complaining about DPS parsers like ACT which IS against the ToS. A tool that ONLY PC users can use for their advantage but NOT PS4 users.
How in Eorzea are you complain about something that's not visible to you in any way unless you go those specific sites and feast your eyes. Thing that you already did from what you say.
Why do you even care what someone else does to his local machine that doesn't give unfair gameplay advantage (hacks) or it doesn't modify anything server wide (hack again).
You sound like a guy who just enjoyed some adult videos on an adult website then comes back to preach against adult videos once he is done with them.
If mods are not allowed so do DPS parsers like ACT period.

And BTW naked/nude photos of FFXIV characters existed looong ago on places like Tumblr for some years now. It's called photoshop.

This thread was already pretty deplorable in a lot of ways, but you just took the cake with this one. That's straight out of "if she didn't want it, why did she dress like that?" logic.

If SE decides to listen to these whiners and actually takes action against players using mods, despite it being in every other MMO, I will without second thoughts quit the game. Not because I won’t be able to use mods anymore, that is part of it but I did play this game for 3 years without them, but because it would be both hilarious and sad if they would side with this minority of people who are trying to be loud and bring attention to this. Logic “I don’t like this so you can’t like/have it either” seriously buffles my mind.

A player like the OP is a minority, but players modding the game are also a minority and inside that group, players using it to ERP or for professional "joystick polishing" are a minority too.

My opinion? I don't care about modding in an MMO since I want people seeing my character the same way I do. Of course, because of this, I'm not happy with others players having the ability to change the way my character looks (nudity or not nudity). Anyway, since I can't do anything about it and SE has better things to do with their time (unless it ends bringing bad press to the game) the only thing I can do is move along with my life.

Oh, and while I don't mind what people do in their privacy please keep it that way, I have zero desire to be part of it and I will suggest to SE that behaviours like that meet a zero-tolerance policy: no strikes, direct ban account.

Another thing that might be worth mentioning is that there are actual issues in this game that are way more prevalent and damaging to the community than modding. Like the rampant botting scene where my entire group is filled with pvp bots or gathering bots driving down the market price. I would much rather see them working on the botting issue. SE tackling this topic honestly seems like a waste of resources and I would really consider leaving the game if they spent the time and money on modding before botting.
