Petition to SE - Make More Cash Shop Items Account Wide

I get this maid outfit and the butler outfit on all of my alts on my account forever, because mine is flagged to be "account wide" from a promo

Why isn't that just the default setting for anyone who buys it on mog station? There can only be one reason...

They really do need to make all cash shop items account wide in case people want to move their character to another server permanently or create new characters to play with their friends on another data center. This is another reason why people don't move or start on less populated servers.

Heck there are items I would only buy if they were account wide, because I just go "nah, I guess i don't need it", the legacy character has missed events, the alternate character has no cash shop items available except the 8-player mount lunar whale, which was also incredibly expensive (about half much as buying the game/expansion.)

This, combined with the glamor system of having to hunt down everything AGAIN, is one of those reasons why SE probably keeps seeing their efforts to get people to move fail. Being able to temporarily move servers only solves where players actively play, but doesn't solve where players actually want to hang out, and if the only way two players can hang out is by creating a character in another data center, that means they're unlikely going to be buying cash shop items, and are unwilling to pay for things a second or third time just to glamor them.

they need a different way to deliver the accountwide rewards than the mog mail, then maybe making other things account wide would be more plausible

pretty sure WoW does it thru a panel/window that u can just redeem when u want the item so youre not forced to take jt if you don't want it (mostly wif heirloom gear ig) so why can't weeeee have smthn like that

instead of mogmail spam just clicky icon and congrats thr vefy first seasonal event you were there for on another character but no new ones can ever ever get again? here are your glamours, achievement, title, pet, mount, emote, etc that you earned for Being There and Doing the Event

Achievement window is similar to the wow system, wherein titles are automatically granted.But other items like mounts and minions, You can redeem them from the achievement window.

I'm not a very frequent critic of FF14, I tend to feel that 99% of what they do is the right direction, but this is one area that is hot trash. I don't like micro-transactions to start with but forcing you to buy them multiple times across multiple characters is A-grade BS.

I buy very little other than some relatively cheap emotes like dote, songbird and maybe a couple more for my alts. I'm not interested in buying items I can only use on one character so for me at least they'd sell a lot more if they were account wide. In addition I would like to see them sell separates because I'm not interested in buying an entire outfit for a pair of shoes of a skirt. Nice to dream but chances of them changing what they do at this point is pretty remote.

I buy things when they are on sale and agree with needing some items to be separate. Is it just me or did the price of fantasia rise in the last year or 2? I think with limitations to the Armoire they should just give us all a free 3rd retainer. If renting extra retainers isn't game breaking then it wouldn't be game breaking to give a 3rd one for free. All outfits that include head wear need that gear to be seen on their character since they are paying for it (so viera and Hrothgar). So yeah, I have issues with this portion of the game/company too.

But I also stand by my comment that people need to refrain from buying or at least drastically reduce their purchases. If cash shop sales started to drop like 1.0 subs did? Then they would listen.

It's probably been said before, but I wish ALL collectibles would be account-wide, the same way it is in WoW and ESO (and probably other games, but these are the 2 I know of). Mounts, minions, glamour dresser, armoire, titles, portrait/adventurer plate options and possibly more should all be shared and accessible from any character on your account.

IMO all no-consumable cash shop items ought to be account wide.

Glamour gear/costumes. Emotes. Orchestron rolls. Mounts. Minions. Etc.

The only things that should not be acocunt wide IMO are one time use things like story skips/job boosters and dyes.

Say what you will about activision blizzard but this is one thing a certain other game actually does better imo.

Honestly I'd be fine with all glams, mounts and minions being account wide.
