Petition to SE - Make More Cash Shop Items Account Wide

A lot of people have differing opinions on the cash shop and prices and the items available.

One thing we likely all have in common is we want this game to do well. We are the FFXIV community together despite how different we all. What we have in common is playing this game.

I know a lot of people at least think it would be a step in the right direction for SE to make all Outfit/Mount Cash Shop purchases account wide.

I have been playing since 1.0 and I really like this game. Therefore I don't mind supporting it. I do buy a few of the outfits, but in general I don't spend much on the cash shop. Things being account wide would be way more beneficial imo to the game and also to the players.

Items that should be account wide (delivered to all characters on the purchasing account at time of purchase and also retroactively for characters who did not receive it or new characters being made:

All Outfits (Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, Seasonal)
All Clothing Items (Single Items from Seasonal events, Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, etc)
All Accessories (Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, Seasonal, 1.0)
All Mounts (I think most of them are, but putting here in case there are any that are not)
All Minions (Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, Seasonal)
All Bardings (Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, Seasonal)
All Emotes (Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, Seasonal)
All Weapons (Exclusives, Regional Exclusives, Seasonal)

Reasons why these items should be account wide:

We all pay subscription for our accounts.
Each account belongs to one player.
If that one player purchases extra optional items from the MogStation then it should be attached to their account and any and all characters should receive it since they are all on that one player's account.

One Account = One Player
No matter which character they might be playing only one character can be logged in at any given time and the account belongs to a singular player since it can only be logged in by one person at a time.

This means that giving all characters on the account the purchase from the MogStation doesn't give anyone those items for free since the account owner had to purchase it at least once to give it to their account.



The current subscription model allows for 2 options which both include more than one character per account, but for Cash Shop purchases the service account as a whole should be taken into consideration.

Some players are even choosing to pay the $14.99 to have more characters so they are paying SE for more characters.

Since players are paying extra for more characters they really should be considered a single account as a whole and obtain all of the above listed cash shop purchases.

It seems to me people are already paying for these extra characters so making items account wide will possibly increase sales on some items since there may be quite a lot of players who like having alts.

The prices for these items are considered high by many, making it account wide will at least make the price seem more acceptable especially for players with alts.

Items that can be exempted for obvious reasons (these will not be account wide):
Dyes
Eternal Bond packages
*Housing Items
Jump potions
Story skip potions
Retainer jump potions
Fantasias

*I know it would be nice, but these are too easily swapped between players using housing permissions so it could be abused to obtain a large amount of housing stuff and give to others or other characters

Rest of the items pretty obvious why as well.

This thread is not to debate the existence of the cash shop, the prices being too high, or what items are in it. It is only for a petition to make certain items account wide when purchased and for all subsequent characters and also retroactively for previously purchased items in the past if the change is made.
