    Commendations, do you get more as your main or off class?

    Just wondering what people run that they feel gives them the most commendations, is it your main class or an off class? I run new content as BRD but after that I go back to my old healing ways as either AST (my favorite healer) and SCH that I've grown to enjoy in SB even if I still hate the fairy. Oddly enough, I feel I get more commends as a SCH than the other two classes. Don't know if people just want to commend a SCH or if I'm unknowingly better at the class than I think I am.

    Healers and tanks certainly get more.

    I can play my SCH, AST, or WAR horribly bad, lose threat, cause a wipe, and still walk out with 2+ comms. I get Sohm Al Normal (53 dungeon) on RDM and the healer and other dps die, and I make myself juggle vercure's and dps to keep myself and the tank alive for the final phase? No chat praise, only 1 comm.

    Ya, sorry. I'll let us die next time. I'm positive it was the warrior who gave me the 1, the healer and dps probably thought the tank solo'd it forgetting I had vercure (Reminder, synced to 54, no verraise.)

    I get about the same no matter what Class I play, if your helpful show competence when playing your job ( use CD , help healers when tank loses enmity, give tips, ect ) you would be surprise. how many you get. Same goes when giving them, unless they actually stand out I don't give commendations.

    I've gotten a notable upsurge of comms since I started leveling WHM as opposed to when I play my usual DPS classes

    I think it's about equal based on playtime per role. Majority of my time pre-Stormblood was on Dragoon. I have 2,753 total commendations. Pretty sure that I had over 1k before HW, and I had only leveled DRG and BRD at that point, everything else I leveled up throughout HW...so going to say almost an equal percentage. It all depends on how others view you, and what you can do/bring to the party.

    I tank my roulettes and I tend to get more comms as a tank or healer and neither are my main role. This is all due to the stereotypes that tank and healers just do more in dungeons compared to dps even though every role shares equal amount of responsibilities in this game.

    Aye, being overall helpful certainly will land you more commends than simply going through the instance. Personally I need no more, I'm over my 3K and have my fat crown wearing chicken. I just find it funny that what was my least favorite healing class for ARR and HW is now landing me the most commends. Outside of tanking cause that blue icon is a magnet for commends.

    Been running sigmascape today cause weekly reset and been running it as SCH cause it's the newest one to get its relic and have yet to get less than 2 commends. I'd put down money that if I went in as AST I wouldn't be getting the same amount despite the fact that I do DPS and heal. As healers in this game (sadly) should but that's a WHOLE other can of worms.

    So true, I'm 4.7k at moment in Commendations, however at the end of the day I don't really expect them, they just give them to me -.-;

    I run content as healer and as tank. It isn't even which role I 'feel' I get more comms with; it is without any doubt whatsoever that I get more comms when I run stuff as healer. Does this mean I am a better healer than a tank? Whether I am or not, coming to this conclusion is inductive reasoning, and flawed logic.

    You have to keep in mind that a commendation given to you might not be because of your performance. This person could simply like your name, your glams, that you explained mechanics for someone, or just randomly gave it before making an exit.

    However, I cannot say with any certainty which healer parties favor more. Generally speaking, if you're keeping everyone up and also tossing out some offense, you will usually walk away from an instance with at least 1-2 comms, regardless of which healer you're using.

    Feel like you're taking me more seriously than I intended to come across as. I think I'm an above average healer though probably really rusty on WHM since I haven't touched it since getting it to 70. Said it a few times that I simply find it funny that I tend to come out of an instance with commends more often as a SCH than as my AST
