Commendations, do you get more as your main or off class?

Definately as my off class. I started on MCH, but find I get way more comms when I play SCH .. unless people are in a group and I'm on whatever class at the time.

I mean, it honestly surprises me when I get a comm playing DPS. Even when I'm really bad. I did finally get the 500 comm golden magitek armour mount not too long ago, so it's possible!

I've swapped my main around with each expansion, but I definitely get more comms on Healer or Tank than DPS.

I get them when i tank mostly, although i did get 3 of them in a dungeon last night with BLM. first time ever that happened as DPS

I tend to get pretty even spread for all the jobs main, White mage, Warrior, and Monk. But it also depends on what I do sometimes.
Like today I got Bismark hard, from a mentor roulette, and one of the tanks ran off the edge on accident. I took the second dragon, monk tank for the win.

As a dps, I get commendations when i'm paired with good players.
As a healer/tank, it is common to get them.

As a tank, i get almost none (yeah, why do i even still try to hold aggro and pull mobs away from healer then?). As DPS, focus on RDM, I tend to get some if I can toss in those life-saving Vercures or sometimes VerRaises if someone messed up his mechanics. Other than that, I'm probably viewed as a horrible player in general who does all his jobs wrong. Like emergency medic as RDM. Holding aggro as tank and switch to DPS stance for boss add kills only. yes. i must be a very unhelpful person.

Somewhere near the end of HW I started to get way more comms on dps than on healers (main) no matter how much I tried. It was hella disheartening sometimes.
These days I've actually started to enjoy playing dps classes, maybe because healing has gotten way less interesting for me so now Im over 3k comms and chill

I find for taking I get more in dungeons than I do in Trials or Omega (Normal). Curse that other blue icon stealing my easy commends

Lol I never get comms as a dps, cuz im such a bad dps, except with SMN! I kick butt on summoner, I love making mobs melt, but I notice I get tons of comms on my Healer mains. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I try to make a point of giving comms to DPS when I run things, especially if I see their doing a decent rotation or using AOE when need be.
