Selling content through PF... Allowed?

It’s not allowed if there is trading of real money involved (which there usually is, but the people advertising are smart enough never to mention that in-game). However, since the PFs do not blatantly advertise this, the GMs cannot do anything about it. Only way they could do something about it is if they either accept screenshots as evidence that the sellers start asking for real money once you contact them in Discord—this would require them to loosen their restrictions on accepted evidence of ToS violations—or by setting up sting operations—this would require more manpower in general. Or if the seller wasn’t smart enough and mention “We want $500 USD for Ultimate clears; PayPal only” in-game (because the only evidence SE accepts right now has to be present in in-game logs).

Mostly Paypal, though some will take gil if you're on the server.

Selling for gil is fine. Selling for real money is against the ToS.

why is it allowed to go unpunished.

SE will only accept chat logs as evidence. The sellers request contact outside of the game and so there are no chat logs.

Hard to say. They've known about it for months yet do nothing when they could deal with it in a few minutes without having to ban anyone.

I notice alot of Raiders are "Selling content" like primal mounts savage and even ultimate through PF i dont know if this is through Gil or RMT, but since this is so blatantly obvious i was wondering if this is even allowed and if not what do people think of it and why is it allowed to go unpunished.

They're fine with it. I suspect SE would be fine with RMT, too, if it weren't for the fact that XIV's reputation would take a hit. They pretty much place bottom-line profit over in-game integrity and fairness, so until / unless people begin quitting en masse because of this blatant RMT (highly doubtful), nothing will be done.

Personally, I think it's a disgrace, and I think it's shameful that the EULA hasn't been amended to forbid the selling of runs for in-game currency, too. The behaviour completely violates the spirit in which games are supposed to be played, and does so in a way that harms other players (people buying runs = fewer people available who run the content the real way via the DF). But it's merely one item on a long list of things SE permits or outright encourages that I find disgraceful, so... *shrugs*

I have noticed some of the RMT advertisers in the game now include everything from selling Gil (standard) to items (iL350+) and also "more" which means Clearing content for real money.
