Ally Targeting - How do you do it?

On that note, how do people heal the dragonheads in phase 3 of Shinryu EX? It's a huge hassle for me to target them due to the size of Shinryu's hitbox.

Set "Target Nearest NPC or Object" keybind to something close to home like [V].
