People are quiting right and left because there is nothing to do. Cant get parties or people to do anything. The population is small. Some info would be nice.

I'm afraid this is a L2R issue

Unfortunately, it's not good news.
Was mentioned in todays letter, they will be working on it after 1.21, because they are working so hard on 1.21 right now.
Lots of people on our sever are very upset with the population and how SE has put it off. At 8pm central time there was 192 people online. And after running through Uldah i be 40-50 of them were players just standing AFK. Then on top of that, about 60 players were Jap/Ger ETC. so by the time ur ready to do something theres about 100 players that are actually doing something. U can bring out all the content and things to do when when it comes down to it, theres not enough players to go do it. Maybe they should think a little more before throwing a bunch of new stuff out there.
Ill post again tonight to see what population are on,and start keeping track over a few hrs and post it.
SE didn't put it off, they have more important things to do for THIS UPDATE, like fixing the game and adding content. Server merging will come AFTER they do what's more important.
Merging servers right now will do nothing but allow more people to play together on a broken game still. They are thinking, any business would do the same thing:
"Do we merge servers now and hold off on content and fixing the game so they can all play together?"
"Do we fix the game, add content THEN bring people together right after?"
What's the more logical decision? Merging the servers would help just as much as fixing, but the priority is with fixing the game. No one wants to play a broken game, even if you have 7,200 people to choose from, your game is still broken and it'll be even more apparent with thousands of others.
Remember how the game used to be, the more people = the slower the server responded which means the laggier the interface became, if they fixed that issue then a merge after a major update will be worth the wait.
more people will log in when 1.21 hits. thats just the way the game is atm.
i think that SE should wait til they can have a steady stream of content, then see what the population looks like. then start merging servers to accomedate
This is what common sense would tell you. How dare you.
kinda curious how many servers will be left after merge.

Maybe. Maybe not, It's not crazy to think that the ones who stayed through the p2p simply dont see the point of playing/ paying/ staying for a game when they can't even get enough players to do the current content. I seen alot of people leave and i would like to be able to acess the content that is currently in the game. I like doing the primal fights and the strongholds but can not find enough people to complete a group to do so. So I can see where Reaper is coming from.
While I look forward to having more people to play with, I am also in no hurry for it.
Why?
Cause even being on a small server (2nd or 3rd smallest I believe) many of the camps to farm needed materials are full.
Personally, I like the cozy feeling on my server and the fact that I know almost everyone there.
I like frog
