I refuse to run Castrum the way it is now

I didn't come to this decision because of the unskippable cut scenes.
While I still disagree with SE's solution to players rushing the 8 player MSQ dungeons, I can tolerate them if the rest community wishes to as well.

It's the roulette EXP bonus for Castrum in particular.
While only 15 minutes shorter then Praetorium, the EXP is only around 55-60% of what you earn from the latter.

Combine that with the terribly paced cutscenes(That can potentially be detrimental to the party's survival), and the far greater awareness required (While not especially difficult, wipes can definetly occur unlike in Prae), Castrum is quite dreadful to run.

On a familiar note, almost all of toxic behavior I've witnessed since the MSQ change has occurred in Castrum as opposed to the Praetorium.
It could of course merely be a coincidence, but perhaps I'm not the only who can currently handle Prae; yet hates Castrum?

I do find the 'watch CS, move 3 steps, get another CS' to be really grating on my nerves. I actually watch You Tube or Twitch during those times.

I mainly do that roulette if I need more tomes, so it isn't something I do every day.

I did Praetorium for the first time yesterday since the cutscene change, and it irked me that it took roughly 55 minutes to complete. I definitely do not want to go in again.

After I found out it happened I stopped, it defeated the purpose of the skip cutscene option they had added in the options.
For a little bit of exp I can gain from a higher dungeon or a short few fates and some tomes I don't use anymore.

I hardly ran it before they did it after I finished I was done I did however try to help others but not anymore after this happen.

I don't like things auto playing games for me and I understand its a choice but you shouldn't make choices for other players because someone is new, they chose to watch cutscene of ships and monsters/humans running up and small dialog instead of fighting the actual battle.

The inn was made to go BACK and watch cutscenes if you wanted a refresher, not as the primary way to see cutscene content, especially from the final story dungeons, as there are scenes that are not in the Undending Journey.

If you don't agree with the changes, just don't run it. It does save new players the headache of dealing with people who aren't patient and want to ruin their experience the first time through. It took my group almost 2 hours the first time we did praetorium, but that was before speed running it for tomes really became a thing. I'd want people to have the ability to have the same experience I did the first time I ran it.

Where does the OP say they’re being forced to run content? They’re expressing their concerns about the rewards of running MSQ Roulette, not the actual roulette. That’s a valid complaint, and just as important to bring up as anything else on this forum. Personally, I find the general ineptness to look past one’s own thoughts and opinions and have a broader perspective to be hilarious, so thanks for the laugh .

OP: your reasons are why I have never did the new roulette after the changes. Square can’t pay me to run years old content that’ll take me an hour to complete.

I don't agree with your statement because what if its just 1 new person and everyone has already done it, cause usually that's how many people usually are new maybe if your lucky you will get 2 or 3 but very rare.

Also I agree with the people who shouldn't be stuck watching a cut scene that's all I am saying I never said I run the dungeon I stopped when it they updated it where you couldn't skip next time read.

I did read your statement, that was a general comment. No one is forced to run the story dungeons, and they have their own roulette.

Would you want spoilers to the latest book or movie if everyone else in the group had already seen/read it?

If you queue for "Main Scenario Roulette" you should expect that people will be doing it the first time, and should respect their wishes. This isn't "Skip Cutscene for Tomes Roulette"

And for the record, I haven't run MSR since early 3.0, as I was getting tired of people bum rushing the dungeons and allowing new players to get completely lost. I also ran low on time to spend in said dungeons when people were patient.
