They created the first real crossworld zone in the game, hardly something not worth noticing..well, they did that content in the laziest way, though. It feels like they spent all their time designing the zone and the elemental system, but didn't even look at the gameplay for more than fifteen minutes. I mean come on, the entire things boils down to killing one specific mob for so long in order to pop a boss fate for tokens. It never changes. You have to blame SE some here too
I'll repeat a concept. without Jar Jar binks, we wouldn't have current motion capture
That's "tech demo content," where they use us to beta test systems they might use later in this game or others, like with squadrons. But we really needed Eureka to be engaging long term content from the start because content was so dry on the ground in SB. I don't think the game becoming one virtual megaserver for content is going to overcome a lack of meaningful content.
Mo-cap is nice, but mo-cap won't save a movie if the movie sucks. There's been plenty of technical innovation in movies, but if anything it's kind of weird how even with that, you can go back 40+ years and the movies are just as watchable if not more. If the core is good, the technical innovations enhance it.
