I've made both the zodiac and anima when they were current and in the end those weapons amounted to grinding the same thing repeatedly anyway (Brayflox HM/Aetherochemical after buff/Roulettes for days for tomes, Garuda HM/A1S/Frontline during Garo for lights) until the quest forced you to specifically do something if you wanted for it to not take forever.

Worst step for me is probably the dungeon items for Zodiac, I had to run Amdapor Keep normal 21 times to get that one. It was gross.

The first step of the SB relic is basically just FATE grinding with an additional gimmick, same as the other two previous ones. Most of the time commitment is leveling your eLvl to 19 so you can get the feathers instead of having to get random RNG (atma/crystals) drops. The downside being that this time you can't level your other jobs which made the other two relic fate grinds not as annoying.
