If I had to spend weeks/months farming for a single piece of Atma again for the first stage of the Relic weapon/armour, I would have screamed in horror. Also would scream in horror if the Relic/Armour required Specialist Crafters.

People have suggested low level players to solo up until they're level 5 and then start joining the train. Alternatively, you could form a party with other low level players and farm mobs roughly your level, or farm mobs that spawn low level NM's (kill Cactuars to spawn the Cactuar FATE, sea monks for the sea monk FATE, etc)

I've been trying to do this. I'm currently lvl 4 and every time I look for a group, I get invited to a train with mostly level 15-20 players. Which is cool, but it means I spend a lot of time dying just to get to where everyone is. And then during the fights, my contribution isn't weighted as heavily because I'm such a low level. In two days of doing this I've managed to get one level.

The only time I've somewhat enjoyed Eureka was when I was invited to a low level group and we just farmed low level mobs for like an hour. I leveled up twice and got 11 crystals. THAT'S what I need to be doing. Trains are only fun when you're higher level. But I need crystals for gear.

When you say you're looking for a group, are you saying in it you want a low level group? Or just something like "lfg"? If it's the later, than that's why you are being invited to mostly train parties.

Alternatively, you could start one with other lower levels(either in PF, or just shout that you're recruiting for a low level party) and do it that way. A lot of the time I see people shouting in Eureka for parties, they don't state their level(and not everyone has the player search open at all times).

I always say my level. "lvl 4 rdm lfg" is how I say it. I don't say I'm looking for a low level group because I always think saying my own level gives it away. But I guess I need to start saying specifically what I'm looking for.

Or just start the group myself.

Yeah, the more specific you are in your messages the more likely you will get the type of group you're looking for. Not always, but higher probability.

Agreed; train parties will take folks of ANY level, so long as they have enough high-levels in the party to get credit for the kill. I've seen folks as low as level 1 in my parties. If you want a low level mob-grinding party, you'll definitely have to be specific; a simple LFG will land you in a train party almost every time, regardless of the level you post.

Depends on the leader though. I try to get people 18+ when I'm leader just so that those that aren't 20 yet can still get EXP for the kills they help with, and so that we are more useful in helping to spawn the higher NMs(and killing/tanking the wraiths).
