tactician is good, but goad isn't really as terrible as mana shift imho, which frankly that's the main problem, I can agree that we shouldn't compare mana shift to refresh, to some extent, but goad is essentially the same thing as mana shift and has none of the limitations that mana shift has, not to mention that if I goad a melee during an aoe session he feels the effect, while If I mana shift a caster or a healer, they get enough for 1 spell and that's it, hardly remarkable or fine
Melee - gets feint lowering target's STR and DEX by 10%
Caster - gets addle to do the same to INT
Physical Ranged - gets palisade
Caster - gets apocatastasis
Melee/ Physical Ranged - gets personal TP refresh in Invigorate
Caster - Gets personal MP refresh in Lucid Dreaming
Melee - gets single target TP refresh in goad.
Caster - gets single target MP refresh in Manashift.
Physical Ranged - gets AOE TP refresh in tactician
Caster - ........... ..... .... ....
NAH!
Lets give AOE MP refresh to Physical Ranged too! GG
Devs pls fix. Manashift is really terrible and needs a rework T_T

I think the worst part is that if you're running a double caster comp in a healing heavy fight your healers have to hold off on dpsing as much. You can probably manage it in a fight like O8s assuming minimal deaths, but it just feels bad that because you play caster your healers now have to pick their noses and stand around. Like balance aside who has fun not pressing buttons or trying to play their class optimally.
Piercing debuff not existing pretty much just means you do less damage. At the end of the day you're still playing your job the same. Not having refresh though. ugh it goes beyond not optimal to not even fun. Hell as a BLM I'd take the dps loss if it actually felt worth it. I'm actually fine with ranged monopolizing all the crazy dps buffs, but mp is just such an important part of everyones play that casters need something relevant too.
