I'm actually thinking the exact opposite. Their single target healing wouldn't be lacking per se, but they'd just be exceptionally strong in AoE healing, maybe even take some inspiration from Mog from 6 for some of their abilities like Water Rondo, etc.I'm thinking their "OMG heal" would be one they would jump to that party member. I really hope they add more then just a dash to a enemy for dancer. I want them dancing around the battlefield not in a circle. We have emotes that already do that.
In terms of dps i don't think their aoe potential should be that great but there single target i agree should be way higher then any healer.
Precisely. Powerful regens, offense leading into AoE burst healing, a touch of mobility, and wide-reaching raid utility
So you're thinking something along the lines of a healer version of Bard? That has to deal with a lot of positioning to make sure their buffs reach the right portions of the group depending on the dance?
Pretty much, in a way. I have a fully fleshed-out concept in a thread in this subforum. The positionig isn't too terribly rigid, but there still is some, with certain abilities like Two to Tango and Pirouette requiring careful placement to use properly.
I wouldn't mind it being something akin to what happened with Arcanist, have one soul crystal for Healer, and one soul crystal for the DPS role, actually.
