Suggestion - Consistently Implement Optional or Automatic Scaling for HARDWARE Cursor

Since this is "not a bug report," let's post it here then and consider it a request (even though making the cursors too small, then the right size, then too small again, then the right size, then too small yet again sure sounds like a bug to me):

Yeah I've had this problem for a while (Playing on 4k resolution). I found a "workaround" to consistently fix it, and that's to restart right after turning on the PC. It is a very annoying fix, but its better than playing "where is Waldo" with the cursor everytime. I've tried many fixes found and none of them work. This problem only presents on XIV out of all the games I've tried since switching to this resolution. Its been so long I even forgot how or when this issue started.

Edit: i think it started with the Windows 10 Creator's Update in October, which also came with the weird bug that would drop FPS at random. thank god that one was fixed it was driving me crazy at the time.

So you're saying you restart your computer ... and then as soon as you log in to Windows, you restart again ... and that makes your cursor stay big in FF14?

For that specific session yes, you can quit the game and log in again and it will stay big. If you Shut down and then log in, it will be small. I could take a video of it if you like.
It's very annoying, I know but its the best i have. If anyone has a better solution I'll be glad to hear it though.

PS: you don't even have to log in really just get to the lock screen and restart from there

Doesn't work for me. I suspect its efficacy varies based on specific hardware or something. But Square actually intentionally implementing hardware cursor options would seem a major improvement either way.

And our prelim patch notes suggest we're finally getting this on Tuesday - so thank you, dev team! ♥
