Fastest way to becoming an astrologist?

Heya,

I am a returning player and used to play a scholar back in the day.
Since support is my favorite role and I am not a huge fan of the design of the WHM, I decided to try to become an astrologist this time (playing WHM till I fulfill all the requirements). However getting through the main quests has been proven to be major grind this far.

Do you have any tips to hasten the proces?
Also, do I get any advantages as astrologist from levelling the WHM first or should I have started out as another role?

Besides doing the main story there isn't much you can do, just doing MSQ missions with skipping cut scenes I managed to do it in around a day from the end of ARR to the start of HW.

This will help tell you how much you have left and while you may not like whm it is a nice way to get use to healing and such before you play ast where you have to heal, dps and worry about pulling and distributing cards.

Fast queues, and AST's core healing spells are very parallel to WHM's, so the experience transfers.

Mostly, the best way to AST fast is to just play whatever will get you to Heavensward/Ishgard the fastest. Scholar would also do it, as would any tank.
