
The point I believe he was trying to make is that you still come out of top regardless of whether or not that filthy little casual gets his exp bonus or not, and that, as such, your complaints have little validity to them. This is akin to having an $80k/year job and complaining that people who got laid off from Arby's are allowed to collect $125/week in unemployment for six months. You're still making $80k/year, and they're still jobless and far below the poverty line after slaving away at a goddamn Arby's for who knows how long. Are you that concerned with solidifying your place among the chosen/elite/'not sucky' that you'd rather stamp out the slightest measure of relief for someone than simply shrug and MoveOn.org?
I understand how some can be against it on principle. The type of tripe -- oh, excuse me, "talking point" -- you're on is that, "Well, the casuals will never be able to measure up, anyway, so why bother even giving them that much?"
