Please, practically speaking levelling is not content. Its a grind. I'm so tired of wannabe hardcore gamers pretending that easy levelling somehow ruins the game. It doesn't. Guild Wars was a highly successful game and it capped at 20. When you make a game, you create a focus. The focus for ffxi and ffxiv has always been the endgame. That means ppl get capped, and they go adventure in all the tough places and fight ridiculous primals and bosses. Anything before that is just grind. You can make it fun if you want to, but its not the *point* of the game. The point of the game is to get to cap. Why would SE make that as hard as possible? People would just quit. The only reason ppl are quitting now is because FFXIV hasn't implemented a full end game yet. All of that is coming though.
It needs to be said, there's nothing cool about grinding forever until 50. And lets be honest, levelling was way easier before this when leves gave ridiculous amounts of xp. Thats also when a lot of ppl capped their jobs. Levelling was never hard in this game, so stop pretending like its somehow unfair ppl get a measly resting xp bonus. I could say its unfair ppl capped 5 jobs and leves gave them crazy amounts of xp. A new player has to grind more than most of you ever had to, yet you wanna talk about fair. Just lol.
The elitism on these forums is hilarious, despite the fact the game has never been hard (except the old crafting system, jesus thats work). Grinding is not content, its a waste of time. Quests = content, Dungeons = content, HNMS = content, bosses = content, but just grinding up levels is *not* content. Its just not. Unless you're telling me you'd play a game only comprised of grinding endless levels with no end. Of course you wouldnt.
