    MCH Rook Autoturret Hypercharge damage is lower than stated in the description

    Steps:
    1. Be level 70 Machinist
    2. Start Sky, Stone, Sea - Sigmascape V4.0 (Savage) trial
    3. Summon Rook Autoturret
    4. Attack Striking Dummy with right mouse-click
    5. Use Hypercharge
    6. Record damage done by turret during Hypercharge
    7. Record damage done by turret without Hypercharge
    8. Exit trial to reset Hypercharge cooldown timer.
    9. Repeat 41 times.

    Rook Autoturret tooltip states that the attack potency of Volley Fire is 80 potency and Hypercharge potency is 160. From this we can expect the Charged Volley Fire to hit for double damage compared to Volley Fire or a +100% increase in damage.

    I did a small trial run 106 Volley Fire hits and compared the damage to 118 Charged Volley Fire hits ignoring critical hits and direct hits.

    The average damage of Volley Fire was 1604.
    The average damage of Charged Volley Fire was 2399.

    The expected average damage according to the ability description should be around 3208. However, the difference is closer to a 50% increase, which would correlate to a 120 potency attack, not 160 as stated by the ability description.

    It seems that either the damage done by Rook Autoturret under Hypercharge is much lower than intended, or the ability descriptions are incorrect.

    Did you only auto attack the striking dummy once in order to have the Rook Autoturret have the appropriate target, or did you continue to auto attack as well?

    Prior to resetting the trial, did you spend 20 seconds doing the regular attack to match the 20 second duration for Hypercharge?

    Testing procedure:

    Auto-attack was used to activate turret attacks. I would then drop the target, although I would sometimes get another attack in by the time I had activated Hypercharge. Attacks without Hypercharge were roughly matched in hit count but not the main focus as normal turret damage was something I tested prior to this on a normal dummy (not SSS) and the damage spread was the similar. SSS was used to speed up gathering data points for Hypercharge values without waiting for the full cooldown. There was some extra variance in attacks because of 5% Vulnerability on the target and there was no attempt to normalize this because the magnitude of potency discrepancy was large enough to be easily observed (5% error vs 50% potency gain vs 100% expected potency gain).

    If the sample size of normal turret attacks is a concern, here's a record of 330 hits in the same testing gear. Testing location was The Dravanian Forelands ( 32.8 , 24.7 ) Z: 1.0 Striking Dummy. Critical and direct hits were again excluded.

    Multiplying the max hit 1634 with 5% Vulnerability modifier, we get 1715, which was the max hit from the SSS recordings. From this we can assume that the damage spread in both cases should be the same.
