The Empire in FFXII had a lot of depth and even quite a few regular soldiers were shown to have redeeming qualities. Will we be seeing that play out more in FFXIV as well?

Matsuno-san, what's your opinion on the FINAL FANTASY XIV Companion App? It seems to me like 90% of the game's players are against it or just won't use it for several reasons, including but not limited to:

• Locking basic UI stuff our subscription fees should be covering behind an additional fee
• Not giving us the retainer itself with the premium plan (pay $5 a month to have the opportunity to pay $2 more a month)
• Basically turning the market board system in the game itself "Pay to Win: Disciple of the Hand Edition"
• The chat isn't even in-game chat, it's exclusive to the app itself and only your character's friend list (at least they could have included free company chat and/or linkshell chat)
• Other MMORPG that have companion apps have more useful features that we're not getting, such as being notified when your queue for a duty pops up
• The premium plan in general, because we already purchase the game and pay a subscription fee
• This app in combination with the Mog Station site basically tells us this game is going to become free to play

Now, we get that money is an important factor in keeping an MMORPG up and running, and there's certainly a lot to look forward to in Under the Moonlight, not the least of which is the new raid you helped with. It's just that we players are getting very, very worried about the direction Square Enix is going in. A lot about the app doesn't need to be locked behind the premium plan. We'd rather pay a higher subscription fee than bother with the app's premium plan. We're also very worried that our opinions aren't valued because the remaining 10% of players will just go buy fifty million moogle coins each, allowing Square Enix to justify these practices.

Where exactly is the Valnard Sea in FFXIV? I can't seem to find it on the officially released world map. Also, where was Rabanastre exactly?

Will the Gria or Aegyl make an appearance in this or a future Ivalice raid? (I hope so! Winged races are so cool!)

Final Fantasy Tactics, and Final Fantasy XII are my favorite Final Fantasy games.

I actually started playing XIV because it reminded me of XII, so it is VERY exciting to me that we are now getting to explore Ivalice!

I hope that in the future we will get to explore some of the Ivalice areas in the overworld.

Matsuno san, do you think that after Stormblood you with be working with the dev team of XIV to bring us more things other than the 24-man raids?
