Suggestion: Ability for Party MEMBERS to Suggest/Request Others to Invite

It's common for a party member who is not the leader to want the party leader to invite someone specific to a party. This is easy enough with the tools we have today but could be made significantly easier with the addition of an option to let anyone in a party initiate the invitation process. Then the leader can approve or veto the decision. Perhaps party leaders can even adjust a setting to allow others to invite people directly, only suggest people to them, or neither. This would be especially useful in Eureka where I can't even /search for the person and have to scroll through the "Adventurer List" to find them. And even more so for cross-world situations where we often have to make a Party Finder ad just to get a specific person we already know wants to join the party.

i really don't get it how people can argue against such a QoL improvement...

no, asking is not hard. it's also not hard to type the name of the person you want to invite into a text command. do you want to do that rather than just right click invite? passing lead back and forth is okay, but why do you think it should be necessary? what takes the option to let party members requesting invites away from you?

I'm thinking it's done this way because of Party Finder...if you're setting up a Party Finder, you really don't want just one person swarming your PF and then inviting all of his friends without asking for permission because anyone can freely just invite any person that they see. Also, there could be people that would just spam the invite button, if we were going off of a veto/accept decision implementation, for the main party leader, just to annoy you and collectively everyone else around while they block you from getting to the DF list or...well, just plain doing anything period, like interrupting your skills/spells in the middle of Eureka. I mean, I could see other players griefing others just like the ones who will spam the trade option with you to prevent someone from buying a house if you don't have the "Busy" status up.

At least, that's what I believe the reasoning could be.

I would rather see other QOL than spending dev time on something like this though. Like tend all garden plots at once for example.

Interesting interpretations. While the original post does clearly suggest that only people IN the party be eligible to RECOMMEND others and then only IF THE PARTY LEADER configures it as such (obviously leaving the default with the feature disabled so nothing changes unless people expressly turn it on), I actually like the idea of people that aren't even in the party ALSO being able to request to join themselves. So do please consider that an additional suggestion. As for potential abuse, I have no doubt that some poor souls would indeed abuse this if it were added. And I'm also confident said poor souls would often be swiftly reported and appropriately disciplined by GMs. This does not in any way change my desire to see the lives of the other 99% of players made a tiny bit easier.

it would also be nice to invite a party into your party. you have 2 slots free and when you invite the leader of a party of 2 people they both will join you.
