    Guardian Force & 2.0

The Guardian Force (e.g: Halone, The Fury and so forth.) which we have all chosen when creating our characters, would in 2.0 I assume have some sort of influence in-game.

If this be the case, would the producers make it possible to choose a new Guardian Force on the implementation of 2.0?

It would seem only fair whilst re-skinning our characters to choose new a Guardian Force based on the influence which each Guardian could possibly have.

I am interested in what anyone else has to say on this matter.

I hope so. A loooong time ago I remember Tanaka or someone on the older team also mentioning that your name day (birthday) would also have some sort of beneficial effect which would be cool.

A little nameday quest or trinket might be a little nice. Maybe once Mailboxes are implemented, we might find something in there from some moogle friend. Like a Birthday party item that throws birthday decorations into the air for a few seconds with the celebratory noise before fading away (similar to fireworks or the newspaper signals). Or several slices of birthday cake that that can be consumed for meager unique buffs for a half-hour.

For the Twelve, for whatever benefits are received from them should not give strong incentive for community discrimination. i.e. 2 weeks after a boss fight ~ gladiators of Halone only or thaumaturges of Rhalgr only.

If this were the more leve-dependent system, I could see performing leves/tasks that earn points toward your faith (a fourth faction not unlike Azeyma's Shields or Brass Blades). And when reaching meeting the prerequisites of the faith leve (100 faith and level 20), one could embark upon a faith-based leve. And to encourage a pilgrimage quest, perhaps this could be a requirement to unlock a level 40/50 leve.

If we're not using leves, then an NPC who issues a repeatable quest or request that allows the player to demonstrate their faith. Nophica may want you to take on the quest and successfully harvest with a scythe X # of times. Llymlaen may want you to successfully spearfish X # of times. Rhalgr to defeat X number of level-appropriate enemies as a Thaumaturge or Conjurer. And/or if there's lore that's not yet represented in game, a pilgrimage quest.

The reward(s) may be a unique, tradeable reward such as an accessory that may enhance attributes based as prescribed from the specific deity. A Rhalgr accessory or materia that increases attack magic potency and lightning element. Or a Nophica accessory/materia that increases output and earth element.

The pilgrimage quest to unlock the final leve or is a repeatable quest, granting a faith-based title on the first pass.

Wrists, neck, rings, and materia might be the most balanced items to implement with lasting appeal. With everything being tradeable and repeatable, folks aren't severely penalized for choosing the wrong deity.

I dunno... *goes back to creating pogs*

Great response, I enjoyed reading your idea's.

However, my main concern was to bring up the question as to whether or not players will be able to change their chosen Guardian Force in the implementation of 2.0. I would hope this would be made available.

You will be able to re-roll your character and change things like race, so I assume the answer is yes.
