I liked more bind being defensive skill than offensive, but lets see how this will work.
Well rip SMN
The tiniest lala.
Wither and Nightwing on a 60 CD. Hello.
Am I missing something about SMN being OP? I must have been playing it wrong this entire time for you guys to keep nerfing or "adjusting" it randomly. Is there some secret godlike SMNs on JP data centers I'm not aware of, terrorizing those 3k+ rating healers?
These fixes are exasperating because it proves time and time again how clueless SE is about their PvP.
At the launch of 4.0 you clearly justified the PvP changes by telling us having 9 skills per job would make it easier/faster to adjust them, and by assuming 9 skills would make it easier for people get into PvP and be good at it. You are adjusting stuff just as slowly as in 3.0, but at least in 3.0 the changes were reasonable. Now it's just "let's do this lol, it sounds like a good idea". People getting into PvP more easily? It's still the same people on the leaderboards, and if anything, coming from PVE and relearning a rotation actually proves bad for a lot of players.
At this point just give us the whole PVE skill set back, it won't be balanced but it will be fun.
It's nearly impossible, or downright impossible for anything except tanks and healers to make it to the top of the leaderboard now. How I miss the days were any job could carry a team to victory...
So this post doesn't sound like I'm only vomiting my frustration at you:
Wither and Nightwing on a 40-45 sec CD, and give SMN a CC. What do you expect by forcing a caster to come in close range without being able to do it safely? Heavy on Deathflare or Akh Morn would be an idea.
Completely agree with Akitmisu. FFXIV 1.0 was abandoned and completely remade in 2.0 A Realm Reborn. Abandon this 9 button PVP that's constantly being adjusted for beginners and simplicity, and return the FFXIV PVE actions and rotations back to PVP, we learned them in PVE and carry it over to PVP. That element alone was key in many players interest in pvp; to use the PVE abilities vs other players.
Also, give SMN a cc ability/spell.
Agreed, but only because my job is equally simple as dog in PvE too. To be more constructive though, rotating two songs and my odd burst windows consisting of nothing but empyreal arrow, repertoire finisher, sidewinders, heavy shot over and over is not my idea of fun. In fact sometimes I try harder than I need to with landing clutch repelling shots not because I want to appear good at BRD (I'm terrible, top 100 is forgiving), but because I desperately want something else to set me apart.Completely agree with Akitmisu.
