Fairly standard of both sides, just like all people who hop into the negative threads to tell them how opinions wrong should love the game & devs unconditionally.I agree with the op for one reason. I remember a thread in which a poster was explaining why they are loving XIV and then those same posters who are complaining went to THAt thread and told the OP why she shouldn't like the game. THAT I feel went too far. So I can understand the OP in this context.
A system error occurred during event movement.
When someone praises the game, someone is ready to call them a white knight (or any other name) and write a report on how they're so wrong.
When someone criticizes the game (after giving their reasons and maybe offer constructive feedback), someone is ready to write a novel explaining how they're so wrong.
I have seen some threads make me say, "wtf" "are you serious" "this person has lost their got dang mind"; sometimes I say my bit and someone replies with a snarky remark, but instead of stooping to their level, I just ignore em and resume reading the comments since they're very entertaining to read.
However, people nowadays just can't respect someone's opinion on something; also the person who makes their opinion, they believe their opinion is fact which it's not.

If you can post here complaining that others are making threads complaining about the direction this game is going, then you possess the very right they have: freedom of expression. I would rather see my community be vocal about the things they don’t like, rather than silently leave as you’re requesting.
Not that anybody who's already made up their mind is going to consider this concept, but yeah. I don't want people to stop complaining or expressing opinions, but I promise you that if all you do is scream that the sky is falling, people will eventually stop listening to you. And that includes the mods. And while I am quite generous with my blacklist, due to the way it's set up I will still see these complaints when they're responded to (or I'll still see the threads).
The thing that annoys me the most is when people go into threads that have nothing to do with controversial issues and bring said controversial issue into it. I'm doing my part to ignore the threads I don't want to read (as I'm told all the time: you don't want to hear it, don't come into the thread.) But when I go into a thread about gpose tips and three comments on the first page are "confirmed 4.4 you can only use gpose if you pay an additional fee look forward to it"-style comments, that's not helpful. Believe it or not, people are allowed to enjoy aspects of the game that don't have anything to do with the controversial issues, and want to talk about those topics.
When 1/3 of an item or feature suggestions thread is "you'll have to pay $100 on mog shop for this pls look forward to it" or "can't happen server limitations lulz", you're actually stifling conversations and suggestions as to how we can improve the game. I get warning people that things have been tried or already commented by the devs that it wouldn't work, but if you really want to encourage the game to get better (as you all say, and I want to believe), then you shouldn't shut people up from making suggestions because you want a quick "like" from making a joke about [insert newest drama point here].

That's not what they are requesting. They are requesting the over hostility towards those who aren't sharing the same view stop. By all means, people should debate - respectful of each others opinions - these changes, and the direction that SE is going. But calling people white knights just because they don't share the same views, and insulting them, saying they are idiots, and all the other overly aggressive things that have been going on, those are the things Kaiva is saying need to stop.If you can post here complaining that others are making threads complaining about the direction this game is going, then you possess the very right they have: freedom of expression. I would rather see my community be vocal about the things they don’t like, rather than silently leave as you’re requesting.
We are on the forum for a game. Users have a right to provide feedback to devs. End. Of. Discussion. The forums ARE the most direct way to leave feedback. They didn't really state that those people couldn't complain honestly, just that the constant bandwagoning effect is getting a little old which I think we can all agree on here. If you're unhappy with a company and/or its products, then leaving and letting the company directly know why you're leaving
