In what will certainly be a minority opinion, I'd like to see the post per day limit get turned down. Why?

The problem isn't complaining. As was shown a page back from YoshiP's slide, people who are complaining by and large are doing so because they care. It's the ones who silently leave that are bad for business. A certain amount of complaining is expected, and even healthy.

Speaking as a software developer... is it fun to get complaints? No, not really. We all like to be praised. Is it useful to get complaints? Extremely. If I build an app for a client and something doesn't work well for their business, I want to know about it. That feedback can lead to immediate improvements in the product and happier clients.*

But what I don't need is the same feedback 50 times from the same person. That's where the real problem is. You get a few people who get really passionate and the next thing you know you have five ongoing threads all full of the same people complaining about the same things. That isn't useful, it's just noise. In that sense, fewer posts lowers the noise somewhat while still allowing the complaints to get through.

*(An old saying we have at the office is "the customer can't articulate what they want, but they know what they hate." Given enough feedback from one person, you can derive what they like from just hearing what they don't.)

Not that anybody who's already made up their mind is going to consider this concept, but yeah. I don't want people to stop complaining or expressing opinions, but I promise you that if all you do is scream that the sky is falling, people will eventually stop listening to you. And that includes the mods. And while I am quite generous with my blacklist, due to the way it's set up I will still see these complaints when they're responded to (or I'll still see the threads).

The thing that annoys me the most is when people go into threads that have nothing to do with controversial issues and bring said controversial issue into it. I'm doing my part to ignore the threads I don't want to read (as I'm told all the time: you don't want to hear it, don't come into the thread.) But when I go into a thread about gpose tips and three comments on the first page are "confirmed 4.4 you can only use gpose if you pay an additional fee look forward to it"-style comments, that's not helpful. Believe it or not, people are allowed to enjoy aspects of the game that don't have anything to do with the controversial issues, and want to talk about those topics.

When 1/3 of an item or feature suggestions thread is "you'll have to pay $100 on mog shop for this pls look forward to it" or "can't happen server limitations lulz", you're actually stifling conversations and suggestions as to how we can improve the game. I get warning people that things have been tried or already commented by the devs that it wouldn't work, but if you really want to encourage the game to get better (as you all say, and I want to believe), then you shouldn't shut people up from making suggestions because you want a quick "like" from making a joke about [insert newest drama point here].
