The negative threads get prominence because there is nothing to talk about in game, because there is very little content we all haven't done 5 million times. Look at the reddit right now, most of the posts are boring trivia.
2. It gets heated because these things matter. All the people defending stuff gives SE the go-ahead to keep doing it. People get mad about whales because they have seen what games that cater to whales in other games become over time. Whales is a general term though, it just means high spenders.
3. This would just devolve into approved negative threads. If negativity needs to go, stfu about how hard savage is or how bad pugs and duty finder are.

Nice to see that many agree with OP o: me included.
Well, I was letting things go for a little bit, but might as well put up another post. Vstar, i... You know what, never mind.
Up to this point, I read every single comment. Yeah, a few folks disagree with what I've said. And that's fine, for the posts that actually took the time to respond...thank you for that. I respect your opinions and respect you for not resorting to little attacks because you disagree with my stance.
I didn't say stop complaining. Never insinuated it. Again, I have complained about things too. My point is, the repeated same complaints are running over multiple threads to the point that nothing is being discussed and any discussion about certain topics are nothing more than petty mudslinging. Yes, this is the internet, and I am fully aware of it. But is that really any excuse? Because you're behind a monitor, it's perfectly alright to just flat out insult another because you disagree with their stance? Because that's the nature of the internet?
And Riyah, what in the world does savage and pug have to do with anything? If your referencing my previous threads, you have missed the point of my posting in the first place. Not that this has anything to do with my thread, but i have dropped my thoughts on casuals a long time ago... You even participated in that very thread where I said this. And I do not complain about the difficulty of savage. Not in the way you think anyways.

I blame SE for not communicating tbh, if they responded more, people would not feel complied to be heard by making their own thread. There are threads here that even did the "mega thread" route and they get ignored too.Well, I was letting things go for a little bit, but might as well put up another post. Vstar, i... You know what, never mind.

What did you hope to achieve by this? surely you saw your self this could been seen as "another negative" thread? You could spun this differently to try get people to do more "mega thread" type mentality to overall achieve the same point, doing it that way wouldn't sound so "people bashing"
but even with that we saw the "mega thread" thing not work so now what?

You kinda sorta did.If you're totally unsatisfied with the product, take a break and come back later. If you are unsubbing, then leave. Don't continue coming here, arguing with everybody you see in your radar, and then finish your posts with saying how much time you have left, as if anybody here is supposed to feel sorry for you. Don't come here and attack other players and start insulting them because they're using their money for legitimate things on the cash shop. Quit being a bandwagon on this train of "FFXIV is in major problem territory" when it's clearly not.
If you want to go, then go. If you want to leave feedback for your dissatisfaction, there are places you can go. You are fooling yourself if you think the mods are going to pass any kind of feedback about your unsub reasons from the general discussions to the devs. At the most, the mods will look at your thread to ensure no harassment, language, or serious personal attacks are occurring. Complaining for the sake of complaining is a fool's errand. Bandwagon all you want, ask your doing is creating an echo chamber that goes absolutely nowhere.
Anyway, I've already told you previously so I'm just going to post it here and leave. If you want more positive threads, make more positive threads. You're doing the same exact thing as when you said you created a necro thread to bring some more positivity. Just skip any alternative methods you may be thinking of creating more positivity, and just create the positivity yourself.
Be the change you want to see.

I'm no mindreader (shocking i know) but i think the point OP was trying to make is you don't need to make a new thread everytime someone unsub. SE get their feedback through Mogstation. If you truely HAVE to make a thread about it, keep it civil and mature.
Screaming top of your lungs that a app MADE you unsub isn't productive nor calling it P2W or SE is opting for F2P when it's not.
As before someone insults me by calling me a white knight to SE, I want to be clear about there is a lot i dislike about SE and what they are doing to a game i hold very dear and i am very vocal in my opinions on the things they do wrong. May sometimes be unpopular opinions but I don't think everything they do are great and good.

As others have stated there is no way to leave feedback on the Mogstation when you unsub. For the longest time there wasn't even an exit survey, and the one they have now doesn't even let you provide proper feedback unlike every other major mmo out there. This is why SE themselves encourages people ((someone actually shared a screenshot of the spot on the mogstation that says this)) to leave their feedback on the forum. So those people making unsubbed posts? They are simply doing what SE told them to do.
I'm getting tired of people fixating on one word in my post and not reading them.
My point was that we would end up with "approved" negative topics. People would be just as negative about things like "how bad players suck in savage pugs" or in duty finder in general, because it's a topic that apparently people can be negative in one way and its ok, because we all know how bad baddies are. A good example in the past were topics on royal menagerie; if you even suggested it might be hard for a story fight, watch the wagons circle around and watch people get jumped on no matter how civil they were.
So if we are telling people to stop being negative and bringing the forums down, i want it all across the board. I don't want to hear your grumbling about the playerbase or how hard savage is because of all the pugs. Get rid of the "tales from duty finder thread," that's as negative as anything out there because it constantly fosters the idea this playerbase sucks and can't even do simple things.

You do realize from the tittle this was bound to happen. Most people here are mainly venting over many things and the minute people make illogical comments or over dramatic ones people will just make drama. They will try to get patriotic about freedom of speech, ect and completely ignore the main purpose of a thread, and slowly shift the whole purpose with their drama. Forums now a days seem more like a place to vent than actually being productive. In a perfect world common sense would be used all the time.I'm getting tired of people fixating on one word in my post and not reading them.

I don't think it's bound to happen. I think people just have to realize negativity isn't just "some unpopular person on the forums annoying me."
No, I'm not shocked. If you want positive posts, make them. The problem is there's is little if anything in this game at the moment to make positive posts on. No real content to discuss, not much to really talk about to look forwards to since the game's content delivery is pretty predictable. So it's descending into popular idea/unpopular idea, and people are getting tired of being balanced.
