Need some help with 2 star 6377 difficulty items

Hello all. I'm trying to work on some of my end game crafting & thought I'd try crafting some 320 HQ crafting gear. Currenly I have HQ 290 gear on which is overmelded but I messed up. Unfortunately when I overmelded my set I was following an old guide to do 2 star recipes and that guide was created for the easier 3543 difficulty recipes which I can craft easily but then I tried to make some Ala Mhigan Fibers and failed miserably. My stats are Craftsmanship: 1382, Control: 1287, CP: 466 I'm wondering is if there's any way I can possibly craft these or not with my stats. Redoing the overmelding is NOT an option. If not would the 330 augmented set work to craft this? These recipes are a lot harder than the old ones and if I can't even craft one component then I dont' see how I can make a piece of gear. I've looked up a LOT of guides but they all seem to assume you already have the gear. There's NO way 290HQ gear is going to hit 550+ CP. It's just not happening. Any suggestions?

PS: I've had people suggest Rath's rotation but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to apply it properly. I always either run out of CP or I just fail it outright because I run out of steps. Also, do I need to specialize into alchemy to make these? I've already picked my 3 specialties and would rather not switch if I have to. I can if I need to but I'd rather not. I may just try getting the alchemy augmented 330 scrip gear because it is a upgrade over what I have. I have access to all HQ foods, teas and guild buffs too if that helps any.

Hmmm for two stars you should be fine, seems you may not be using all of your skills properly. You have some skills that can replenish your CP as well as use up less CP. Are you using HQ items? Are you using Food? FC buffs? Specialist Job? ( you can swap them out to make things easier ) Specialist items to make more HQ process? ( with these it's over kill )

its very simple to swap out crafter souls. you get to make 3 changes per week and they're easily replaced with red scrip you can just get from doing your weekly deliveries.

Camie's guide is excellent for this, Ch60 has a step by step to guide you through.

You do have the stats for this, so you can complete it with Maker's mark (above). Do not buy scrip gear, you'll take a big hit to CP and that will actually make it harder. You can buy the 330 Scrip main hand for a boost though.

Are your CP 466 before or after food? Try to use HQ Tempura platter and CP Tea for your first Ala Mhigan crafts. Make sure you're a specialist and have your lv70 class quest complete. If you're at 466 after food and tea, that's fine but you'll need to adjust the rotation accordingly. After the flawless synth spam you ideally want to have recovered to 500 or so CP, if you don't hit this, remove one or more Ingenuity's from the quality steps, never remove Ingenuity II in the finisher though. Your goal is 167 CP after the Hasty Touches. If in an emergency you still don't hit this, remove the Innovation in the finisher.

Keeping the above in mind to monitor your CP, follow Camie's step by step and you can finish your first Ala Mhigan. I have done it with your stats, it is possible. Good luck

You probably found what amounts to a macro that requires high CP, that's what most people refer to as Rath's rotation. It's a nice basis for a rotation, but needs to be adjusted for the high number of CZ and ToT's you'll end up with. Instead of trying to come out of the MaMa phase with full CP, come out of it with IQ stacks, high durability and high CP.
Because you have 64 steps of Maker's Mark, these recipes are much easier than the others in the masterbook. Use Tricks of the Trade every chance and keep Comfort Zone up. Build up some Inner Quiet stacks during MaMa. Use SHII for your 3 PbP's, and use Precise Touch if you see a good/excellent during while SHII is up, use a couple Prudent Touches if you don't see any good/excellent during that SHII. That has you burning 40+ durability, so you use a Manipulation II without wasting part of it, if your CP is approaching max.

If you're on a specialist use Whistle While you Work, Satisfaction every chance you get, and Nymeia's Wheel at 1-2 whistle stacks for 30 durability (don't let your whistle count reach zero).
