    I miss it too.

Remember when you bought a game and that was it? All finished and full. DLC/Additional content could have been an amazing thing. Instead most companies use it to release half finished games for full price then make you buy the rest later.

FF15 is a prime example. Release a title with a fragmented narrative, then release paid DLCs to patch all the holes....

Tbh I don't agree with that, I found prompto and gladio dlc forgettable and in some ways even ignis didn't add too much to the plot to change it, frankly I would say that the story in ffxv was complete, but the problem was that had problems in the telling and some pacing, though my feelings on the whole are much more complex than that, there's a good meaning to the story, but it's not really immediate you need to actually think about it and when coupled with some incomprehensible dialogues you have with the bros you can understand why ppl actually don't like it.
TBH the mayor story explanations have come free of charge so we should me mindful of that

@lilseph that's not exactly true they stopped working on it during TW3 development, which is why I said it takes only 1 mediocre game for them to go under, but it's true that they also know that

    I didn't see the edit. I apologize.

I thought they were slowly working on it, but it doesn't surprise me. They need to be super perfectionists with their products so they don't get bought by other companies.

Do we need to keep beating that dead horse around, really...?

Everyone knows that the game was rushed out by orders of the publishers and higher-ups of SE regardless of whether the directors and developers wanted to spend more time on the game. It was obvious from the getgo that the DLC's were parts of the story that should have been in the game and the people who give the orders to the developers were like "Nah, fam, you're going to follow this procedure whether you like it or not".

I don't blame the director, developers, or game designers for making a really nice game and then getting screwed over by the suits up top. In fact, I feel bad because they're taking the fall for what the greed of the collective stockholders and influential CEO members have done while the game designers are getting long working hours with a piss poor salary more than likely.

It wasn't a perfect game by any means, it shows plain as day, but there were still some parts of it that were enjoyable despite it's flaws and shortcomings. It would have been nice if the people working on the game didn't get screwed over because the higher-ups gave orders that they can't refuse...unless, they didn't want to keep their job anymore which wouldn't surprise me either if they were threatened with that.

You don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Would a baby seal be more to your liking?

I don't know. What has the baby seal done to you to make you club it like a caveman? Squeak or look at you funny...? Your sarcasm doesn't change my point or opinion regardless that you're blaming game designers for something more than likely out of their control entirely.

If you think about it what did you expect for the price you paid? They kept it simple and focused on the main story line. All that they did is give you options if you wanted side stories and such. Did it prevent you from playing or actually finishing the main story line? I don't recall that part -.-. I was able to finish it. Then they came out with the Royal edition, I only paid for the extra no point in re purchasing the rest of the game. But hey if you rather pay box content every time full price go for it.
