Hello, I'm not on your server but I found your post through the "New Posts" search. You might have more luck posting in General Discussion if you don't get replies here.

It will take a while to save up enough for a house, and I think you'll also need to get your Grand Company rank up. (I don't know if that gets boosted along with your level.) Equipment is easier, and there are a few ways of getting it.

At very least, have you finished your level 50 job quest? You get gear from that. (Or perhaps it got marked complete when you boosted, in which case I think you need to visit the Calamity Salvager in any of the capital cities and purchase the 'relic gear' that you would have received from the quest.)

If you start working on Heavensward MSQ, you'll receive gear (and gil) as rewards for some quests and sidequests. But if you're struggling with being strong enough to do quests in the first place...

If you've been running Lv50 dungeons you'll be earning a currency called "Allagan tomestones of poetics" - these can be used to purchase good Lv50 "Ironworks" equipment at a town called Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona. A different shop here also offers upgraded versions of the relic gear, traded for the unequippable 'antique armour' you might find as dungeon loot. And of course there's the loot from the dungeons themselves.

More generally, for earning money, have a look at the "Challenge Log" in the menu and try to complete some of those weekly objectives. Some directly reward you with gil, and for every five objectives you complete, you'll get a bonus 10,000 gil.

Also look on the marketboard, because people who've bought the Ironworks equipment don't need the early-Heavensward quest reward gear, so might be selling it cheaper than what it costs from the NPC vendor.

Good luck, and welcome to the game! Heavensward was my favourite part of the story.
