im a bit scared that the 4.3 can be finished in less than 1 week, apart from that,we dont have that much info.

A lot of that is on the player themselves though. Pacing, while it might be possible for SE to dictate, is something that each player needs to figure out for themselves.
If you end up finishing everything that comes out with 4.3 in a week....you may be spending more time in the game than the average person(or have people you run things with doing so). It really comes down to how you decide to proceed with going through the fresh content.
well, you take dungeon and story,in less than 2 hour its complete, dungeon will be a joke again and in 15min you will finish it,and if you take fedex MSQ out you dont have that much either.A lot of that is on the player themselves though. And even so,someone take 2/3 weeks to finish it,waiting 6 month to get 2 weeks of content is a bit light.
I can get through it in like a few hours (from servers coming online again) and that's not even rushing (before you say anything yes I work but I can book holidays). If you are up to date an most things getting through patch content won't take you very long. I would say with this patch, the longest thing to take to finish will be the new Deep Dungeon due to 31+ being apparently the hard floors. Honestly new patches don't excite me as they used to because I have been going through these patch cycles for years now. I remember when I was hyped for patch notes but now..not so much. They have kept it the same for so long nothing surprises me anymore. Just happens when you play an mmo like FFXIV since the beta.
I will say i will like Deep Dungeon from 4.3 because I guess it will keep me busy trying to clear it.
Agreed with this, and everything else said thereafter.
-MSQ? Yeah okay, I am slightly curious to see what's happening next. Certainly not "excited" to learn what will happen next. I'm invested in other media series to fill that void.
-New Trials/Dungeons stopped being something for me to look forward to because they're only something interesting the 1st time or 2 before they feel monotonous, especially if you decide to "farm" anything.
-Same with the Beast Tribes. Even if this is a crafting tribe, it probably will still amount to "fly here, now fly there, craft 2 of these in under a minute, fly back there." I also don't find their stories all that compelling throughout. Oh well, easy exp for non-70 DoHs.
But I do look forward to the new floors of Deep Dungeon and the new Eureka zone. Deep Dungeon has always been a little less straightforward and varied based on your teammates and I would like to see if they've adjusted anything in Eureka based on feedback, and of course the initial exploration.
Also looking forward to the QoL updates. For a game so invested in the Duty Finder instances rather than server-side activities, the cross-world linkshells are a much-needed addition. The Glamour Dresser updates are a welcome improvement and the guestbook?... Eh, yeah, some people will get mileage out of it probably.
PotD, Hildibrand, the new Ultimate and even Eureka will come out later. So they are not directly part of 4.3. What seems to be left is story, one dungeon, one trial and the 24 man raid. (And beast tribe if you are leveling crafter/gatherer) I read slowly through the story, talk to a lot of NPCs inbetween and yet the story normaly only takes a few hours. A dungeon run takes maybe 40 min. max if its new and you wipe, the same with the trial. The only part that will probably take much longer will be the 24 man raid. You would really need to force yourself to one hour a day to not get that done in a week.

I do look forward to finally using the glamour dresser since we can take stuff out of it. And later I look forward to the new deep dungeon. I do hope that they surprise us with something really great in there and that floor 31+ is still doable solo.

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
I'm not saying that it's impossible to do in a few hours, just saying that it does ultimately come down to how fast each individual decides to go through it all. I personally would love for there to be more that comes with each patch, but realistically know that it won't happen unless they get much more staff on it so that nothing else needs to be pushed back/set aside for much later.PotD, Hildibrand, the new Ultimate and even Eureka will come out later.
