Suggestion - Have Market Board "Partial Match" Work Per Word

The current option looks only for the ENTIRE string within the item name. While this is a big improvement from having to search only for substrings at the START of the item name, it would be great if it processed each word as a separate entity. So we could search for "gyu hat" to find a Gyuki Leather Hat, for example.

It's a great idea, but I can also see why it wouldn't necessarily work as flawlessly as you'd like it to. If you type in "gyu" it gives you all of the items for the Gyuki set either way. But, there are two headpieces for Gyuki: the Gyuki Leather Pot Helm and the Gyuki Leather Hat. The sorting system is not going to be able to tell just from "gyu hat" which one you'd want either way because it'll treat all headpieces as "hats". Now, granted that's only two choices as an end result, so not terribly tedious or bad mind you. However, imagine going a little deeper into the categories of gear and typing in something like "doman hat" and you're getting every piece of doman headgear under the sun regardless of what class you need it for or typing in "silver sword" and still getting a long list of everything that the process considers to be "silver" or a "sword".

Depending on how the devs handle it, it could be 50/50 in terms of helpfulness and user friendly accessibility since they'd have to tag all items with a bunch of generic tags so that the system can identify anything close towards what you're looking for.

It's a good idea, but I foresee issues still with it because it'll never know exactly what you're looking unless you just type the whole name in anyways.

I'm not sure I follow. The game doesn't need to consider anything to be a "sword", either it has the word "sword" in the name or it doesn't. You're thinking of a more complex search system that looks for categories and tags on items when the current search system really isn't there yet. As far as I can tell, it's textual only, this request is to move it from (pardon the syntax) "silver sword" to "silver"+"sword" which looks for both words separately within the name instead of the phrase as a whole.
To go with your example, looking for "gyu hat" wouldn't bother with the Gyuki Leather Pot Helm because it doesn't have the word "hat".

As for the request itself, I'm all for it, but inb4 "server limitations"

Yea, you're right. I was thinking of a more complex search system if they were to go towards one. My bad. D:

This would be very convenient for words like Archaeornis...

Not having half the item's names containing esoteric words with more syllables than I have fingers would help a lot when telling the market board what to look for. :P
